Concussions are completely different than other injuries. When you facture a limb, there's recovery time gauged by how you feel and your ability to return to activity. Most injuries require rest or immobilization, however some activity may be possible with limitations.
Concussions are an invisible injury unlike any other.
Wendy Clawsey suffers from post concussion syndrome. She can't completely escape the effects of what happened on the ski slopes nearly six years ago. There are many others, like her, who continue to suffer. Wendy has authored a book called, “Concussion” to share her invisible illness and the process of fighting her way back to full recovery.
Wendy joins us LIVE at BEYONDtheCheers on blogtalkradio on Wed., Sept. 10th at 7PM EST. Listen Fridays at NOON to our repeat broadcast on AMFM247 or anytime at iHeart Radio iTunes and Stitcher.com.

Did you know that we serve a God of hope? It never runs out.
Often world conditions, stress, family issues and finances are some of the things that drive us to despair and hopelessness. This is why we ask:
How are you doing in the hope department? When was the last time you had a "hope check-up"?
In this episode we will discuss the positive effects of hope. If you are
feeling signs of hopelessness, you may want to listen to this broadcast for a "perk-up for your hope"

Domestic Abuse and the Effects of REJECTION!
The word "rejection" without any descriptive suggest alienation, isolation and pain. How does rejection from a parent inflict trauma, and pain on a child?
The supposed natural order of a mother is to love her child/children but as we see more and more in this day and time this is not always the case of a natural love for the off-spring of a parent. What can you do when you feel that your mother the person that brought you into the world "rejects" you and also by your siblings.
We are going to speak with Dr. Carolyn Sutton, Author of ' REJECTED BY MEN' BUT CHOSEN BY GOD, as she share her story of rejection.
You will hear how all along GOD has purpose for her life through it ALL. Her story will encourage and inspire you to know that GOD is always there and will bring "purpose" from your pain.
This is a very inspiring book about the author's story of rejection and resiliency! Her book is available at www.amazon.com.
There is so much happening in the country today and even the world as far as violence goes. Our children see it daily; on the streets, on the news, in their video games, music and movies. Our children are exposed to things that adults don't even need to be seeing or doing...
As a result? We have our children joining gangs and selling drugs... Hanging in the streets. With this lifestyle comes violence. When you're young you always think; 'Not me. Nothing will happen to me. I'm smart. I know what I'm doing.' Young teens and young adults think that they are invincible. They aren't. And when something goes wrong and violence touches the 'invincible' ones it effects more than just them. It effects their families, friends and everyone who cares for them.
