Today, the guys will welcome in Ravens Hall of Faner, Captain Defense a.k.a. Wes Henson. Captain D will spend a few minutes this morning discussing his new Ravens fan anthem, “It’s Game Day Hon”. We will also get the Captains thoughts on the season so far and where he stands on all of the turmoil surrounding the Ravens at the moment.
Then it’s onto the Baltimore Ravens, who hit the road for the first time this season when they play the Cleveland Browns at FirstEnergy Stadium today at 1 p.m. Baltimore and Cleveland both carry 1-1 marks into the contest, with each team notching its first respective win of the season in Week 2.
Playing their second game in an emotional five-day span, the Ravens stopped the visiting Steelers, 26-6, last Thursday night (Sept. 11) in what head Coach John Harbaugh called “a complete team victory”.
In their 2014 home opener last Sunday, the Browns emerged victorious, 26-24, over the New Orleans Saints, securing the first win for new head coach Mike Pettine. (Pettine is a former Ravens assistant who coached in Baltimore from 2002-08.)
Alan will have all of the stats that matter and the pressers from both teams throughout the week. Tavares, who spent five seasons and NFL linebacker, three with the Ravens, will break down what each defense will need to do to stop the other offense. Drew Burnham, who spent last season on the offensive staff of the Ravens returns to help breakdown the Ravens offensive game plan.

Tonight, the Baltimore Ravens kick off their preseason slate at M&T Bank Stadium in a 7:30 p.m. showdown against the San Francisco 49ers. Guided by head coach John Harbaugh, Baltimore has advanced to the AFC Championship game in three of the past six seasons, while the Jim Harbaugh-led 49ers have played in an impressive three-consecutive NFC title games. This battle marks the first meeting between the two clubs since the Ravens emerged victorious, 34-31, in Super Bowl XLVII on Feb. 3, 2013.
The Ravens look to rebound from an 8-8 campaign in 2013 after missing the playoffs for the first time since John Harbaugh’s 2008 Baltimore arrival.
Alan will offer up his 5 Things to watch for and tell you what you can expect to see. Alan will tell you what new O-Coordinator Gary Kubiak will be trying to accomplish tonight. Will the offensive line open up holes and protect for Ray Rice and Joe Flacco, who both, are coming off poor seasons?
Game time is finally here and this Ravens pregame show delivers like no other. Stay tuned and log back on after the game, as Alan will conduct a Ravens post game show.
After a week off, Fuz will be fired up. The fellas will start off talking about the Minnesota Vikings and the Adrian Peterson situation. Fuz will have a lot to say considering that the Minnesota ownership had opinions on the "Redskin" name that did go over well with Fuz. Speaking of the "Redskin" controversy, Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-WA) plans to introduce a bill that would end the NFL's tax-exempt status because arguing that the Washington Redskins' name promotes an ethnic slur. This will likely light a fire under Ed's butt as he has wanted that tax-exemption gone from the law books. The guys will also discuss the NFLPA filing an appeal on behalf of Ray Rice. While controversial, Ed will defend the unions decision. Given time, Fuz will go at Richard Sherman's sudden silence after the Week 2 game against the San Diego Chargers. Fuz will also not-so-humbly brag about the Washington Nationals clinching the NL East. Time permitting, the guys will discuss the FIBA World Cup which Fuz didn't care about and Ed didn't watch.
