TRUMP TOWER - www.trump.com
Trump Tower is a monument to the ostentatious affluence of a classic New York character, Donald Trump. Whether you love him or hate him, it’s worth wandering inside the building’s soaring public atrium to have a look. Completed in 1983, the scene is a freeze-frame of that decade’s shiny excess, with acres of pink and peach marble, hanging gardens, mirrored surfaces, and a huge cascading wall of water. Also keep an eye out for the many bold-faced names who occupy the building’s lavish apartments, including the winners of the Miss Universe, Miss USA, and Miss Teen USA contests who live here during their year-long reign. The Trump Tower is also home to a television studio where Trump’s reality show The Apprentice is filmed.
Trump Tower is a 68-story mixed-use skyscraper !
Something you may have never heard about is that certain chemicals in our food supply and our environment, such as pesticides, herbicides, and certain petrochemicals from air and water pollution, household cleaners, plastics, cosmetics, etc can react with your hormones and make your body store excess abdominal fat. These harmful chemicals are known as xenoestrogens. Excess exposure to these can cause hormone balance disruptions for both men and women. Tune in Wednesday May-20 at 7:Pm for the Rest of the Story.

Amanda has set out to create a new beauty supply experience for her customers, offering friendly and knowledgeable staff, and top quality products
Get ready for an hour of candid, thought-provoking book and author talk. On this episode of the Literary New England Radio Show, we feature:
Jill Alexander Essbaum on her striking debut Hausfrau. Described as a 'modern-day Anna Karenina,' it's the story of 30-something Anna, an American living with her husband in Switzerland, who tries to pull her life together and find happiness through a series of new experiences, including German language classes, Jungian analysis and a series of sexual affairs.
Sally Hepworth on The Secrets of Midwives. Neva, a third-generation midwife, is pregnant and determined to hide the baby's father's identity. Yet her mother finds it impossible to let this secret rest. For Neva's grandmother, the situation sends her back 60 years to a secret that eerily mirrors her granddaughter's--which, if revealed, will have life-changing consequences for them all.
David James Poissant on The Heaven of Animals. Nominated for the PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize for Debut Fiction, named one of Amazon’s Best Short Story Collections of 2014 and recipient of numerous other awards and recognitions, this debut short story collection explores the tenuous bonds of devotion and family as each of Poissant's strikingly true-to-life characters are in some way tested by the often-brutal power of love.
We'll also help you get your read on for next week's Boston Marathon! We talk with Rachel Cass, head buyer at the Harvard Book Store, about unforgettable running books--fiction, non-fiction and those ideal for children.
Hosted by Cindy Wolfe Boynton. Visit the Literary New England blog for more book giveaways, author talk, event information and to listen to past episodes -- book-tatstic updates posted regularly!

R.I.P. Record Store Day or can it be saved?Let me preface this post by stating that I LOVE Record Stores. I WANT Record Stores to succeed. I LOVE the spirit that Record Store Day originally championed. I don't want Record Store Day to go away, but there are too many glaring issues that stores don't get to publicly mention and I've been asked to help be a voice for those that are afraid to speak up, for fear of retribution.
Ever since March 20th, when the official lists for Record Store Day have come out, you've seen some minor rumblings of a backlash towards Record Store Day. It has started to gain traction, received national attention and was very upsetting to those behind Record Store Day. But the problem is, if this stuff doesn't get discussed, how else can it get out? Not everything can or should be discussed behind closed doors--sometimes transparency is needed.
I made a post last year about some tweaks that were needed for Record Store Day here. Because in talking to as many stores as I do, I could see this coming. I was hoping that some of these issues would be fixed, but sadly we are now at the end of the road and two things are getting ready to happen:
a) Record Store Day is going to kill itself due to abundance of product b) Record Store Day is going to be abandoned by the very stores/artists/labels it was setup to promote
So what are some of the fundamental problems going on in the industry that will help kill Record Store Day:http://new-vinyl.blogspot.com/2014/04/rip-record-store-day-or-can-it-be-saved.html
