Tonight your host Bill Bachman interviews the Paranormal Rock Star and star of the Syfy channel's hit show 'Ghost Hunters', Dustin Pari. Dustin has been interested in the paranormal since he was a child and he's been investigating with friends at local hot spots since his early teens. When he's not hunting ghosts, he's busy holding down three “normal” jobs. In Dustin's free time (if he has any) he enjoys spending time with his family, working on classic cars, writing satirical social commentaries, playing Guitar Hero, eating cereal and watching cartoons. As to why he's still pursuing this field today--well, he's a very spiritual individual and he is constantly looking for proof of the afterlife, not for himself but for others. If nothing more than to show nonbelievers that there is something more out there to consider- and that maybe- we can all live in this life, just being a little nicer to each other. He loves the paranormal community because it is filled with people just like himself. People who are just doing the best they can with the resources and time they have available. Lets face it, you could do anything for a day job, but once you have that life changing encounter, your heart will always lead you back to this field and to the unknown.

Walter Dominguez is a Southern California born and raised Latino documentary filmmaker.
Walter wrote, directed and produced his new independently made documentary feature film, Weaving the Past: Journey of Discovery, which follows Walter’s twelve year search to find his grandfather Emilio’s roots in 19th century Mexico and early 20th century Los Angeles.
His quest reveals Emilio’s deep friendship with one of Mexico’s great revolutionary heroes, Práxedis G. Guerrero, and their courageous and idealistic struggle to free Mexico of its oppressive dictator, Porfirio Díaz.
Walter brings to this award-winning film his unique sensibility as a storyteller and his perspective as an American Latino. Walter’s skills are a result of his extensive background as a director, assistant director, 2nd unit director, writer and producer in Hollywood studio features, television series, independent features, and documentary video production.
His credits as an assistant director include The Andromeda Strain, and Oklahoma Crude for Hollywood legends Robert Wise and Stanley Kramer, Play It As It Lays from auteur filmmaker Frank Perry, and Steven Ihnat’s contemporary western The Honkers. He has directed 2nd-unit for the cult thriller feature, Devil Times Five, as well as for Frank Perry’s Play It As It Lays.
He has been a member of the Director’s Guild of America (DGA) since 1972, as well as a member of the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP), Film Independent (FIND), and the International Documentary Association (IDA).
Walter is a graduate of Occidental College, having majored in history, and he did graduate work in Cinema Studies at the USC School of Cinema.
He has been married to veteran actress Shelley Morrison since 1973.
WALTER DOMINGUEZ, Latino award winning filmmaker
Being a CTE Teacher in my other life I hear all the time about students who are going to leave high school and immediately make the “Big Time $$$$” in some field of Entertainment and so today I wanted to talk to someone who has actually “been there, done that”. I give full credit for borrowing the show descriptions from my friends at Armando F. Sanchez productions and for the Information Provided by Walter’s Public Relations People
In our fast-paced, chaotic world, it is difficult (if not impossible) to imagine the lives of those who came before us, even just two generations ago. And yet, more than ever, each of us still has a yearning to connect with the past, to better understand those who came before us and made us who we are.
That is the journey undertaken by filmmaker Walter Dominguez in the extraordinary documentary “Weaving the Past: Journey of Discovery.”
As a young man, Dominguez was inspired by his grandfather, Emilio, known as “Tata,” who was one of the most prominent and beloved Mexican Methodist ministers in idyllic Santa Paula in rural Southern California. A community leader who was known for his generous heart and kind spirit, Tata died in 1973. Three decades later, with the generation that knew Tata best quickly dying away, Dominguez picked up his camera to uncover the long-hidden secrets of Tata’s earliest years.
Walter brings to this award-winning film his unique sensibility as a storyteller and his perspective as an American Latino. Walter’s skills are a result of his extensive background as a director, assistant director, 2nd unit director, writer and producer in Hollywood studio features, television series, independent features.
Host Cyrus Webb welcomes back Walter Dominguez and Shelley Morrison to Conversations LIVE to discuss the response to WEAVING THE PAST and what they hope new viewers will glean from it.
Dustin Pari retuns to Dead Air and first time on AWA to up date us on what he has been doing and how the Paranormal Rockstar lifestyle has been treating him.
Hosts Andrea Perron and George Lopez will pilot this new launch into a vast sea of discovery of ourselves, our world and the universe.

Ryler Dustin grew up in Bellingham, Washington, where he met the friends who introduced him to poetry and continue to inspire him. A finalist of both the Ruth Lilly Prize and the Individual World Poetry Slam, his work bridges the gaps between people to celebrate the common strangeness of being human. It examines the bizarre elegance of our biology, the awkwardness of love, and the awe inspired by our increasingly wide view of the universe.
Ryler recently graduated from the University of Houston's MFA program, where he was awarded the prestigious Verlain Poetry Prize. He teaches poetry to middle school students with the Houston nonprofits Writers in the Schools and Project Row Houses.

In the early hours of New Years Day 2013, a radio astronomer at the Allen Telescope Array in Northern California discovered a mysterious signal emanating from a star within the Ophiuchus Constellation. Contained within the signal was a Message--of human origin--foretelling the details of man's imminent demise. The Message was brought to The Starset Society, who quickly realized the importance of its immediate publication. Risking extreme danger, The Starset Society commissioned a group of musicians and scientists to assist them in spreading the knowledge to a broader audience. This group became known simply as STARSET. STARSET describes their music as cinematic rock. The band originate from Columbus, Ohio and was formed by lead singer Dustin Bates of Downplay. The band has released two singles including 'My Demons' and 'Carnivore. In the summer of 2014, the band released their debut album ‘Transmissions,’ which is now available.
