Another Wheel of the Year Sabbat, Mabon! Mabon is the second harvest, and as such becomes another holiday of thanksgiving. It is also the day when darkness once more overtakes light, and so it is a day of planning, reflection, and the contemplation of mysteries. Mabon is the Witch's Thanksgiving, a time to appreciate and give thanks to the Goddess for her bounty and to share in the joys of the harvest. Fall fruits, squash, gourds, pumpkins, grains, nut breads, vegetables. The autumnal equinox occurs when the sun crosses the equator on its apparent journey southward, and we experience a day and a night that are of equal duration. Up until Mabon, the hours of daylight have been greater than the hours from dusk to dawn. But from now on, the reverse holds true.

It's RevKess's birthday and neither him nor KaliSara knew what to do for this show. After asking on his personal FB page, RevKess came up with an idea. "In the beginning" references the suggestion made by at least one listener to talk about how he got on his spiritual path. Expanding this to include KaliSara's journey, that is the somewhat random plot for the show. Interspersed along the way will be a heavier sampling of music and some other musings.
Teo Bishop returns to PMPC to talk about the Solitary Druid Fellowship and the ADF. Join KaliSara and RevKess as they enjoy another great conversation with this pioneer in Druidry. From the SDF website: The Solitary Druid Fellowship (SDF) is an extension of Ár nDraíocht Féin (ADF), an independent tradition of Neo-Pagan Druidism. It is organized to provide solitary Druids, as well as any solitary Pagan in the general public, with an opportunity to engage more deeply with their ritual practice, while at the same time forging spiritual bonds with other solitaries through the adoption of a shared liturgical form. The Fellowship is organized by Teo Bishop, author of the blog, Bishop In The Grove. Before becoming a practicing Pagan was a member of the Episcopal Church, a liturgically-based Christian denomination. With more than twenty years of experience in a liturgical tradition, Teo brings to the Fellowship an understanding about the value of shared practice, as well as a deep appreciation for beauty, simplicity, and effective language in religious ritual.
SG Daniels is the author of the acclaimed YA novel, The Druid's Doorway, the first in The Reese Brothers Series.
Jake Reese thinks he’s just a screwed-up high school kid living in a small town isolated in the Arizona desert. Traumatized at an early age by his mother’s sudden death—and believing he might have had something to do with it—he’s allowed his guilt and lack of self-confidence to rule his life.
Hailey is the fiery little redhead that sees Jake as more than a just a good friend. When she invites him as her date to a school function, it brings down the walls he’s built to protect his heart, and sets off a series of events that threaten not only Jake’s life, but that of everyone around him.
The discovery of a portal on the outskirts of town brings Jake face-to-face with death and reveals a closely guarded secret about his mother. No longer is his memory of her the only thing that haunts him. Something evil from her past has escaped through the portal, and nothing will prevent it from trying to steal Jake’s future.
Can Jake overcome his fears to keep Hailey safe? Will the decisions he’s forced to make destroy everyone he knows and loves? And ultimately…is he strong enough to live with those choices?
SG Daniels plans two more books in The Resse Brothers Series and a possible prequel novella. The second book, The Druid's Lair, has a planned release for February/March 2015.
Keep up with SG Daniels and her writing on her website, www.sgdaniels.com.
Today we are going to talk about cults. I mean the kind that take over you financially, emotionally or spiritually. No religion is safe from it. Religious "leaders" from all paths of life are akin to have the ability to do it. All religions are suspect to its rumor mills and accusations. Whenever you get a group of people together with different ideas of how things should be done, you run the gambit of gossip and finger pointing. However, gossip goes without saying in large groups. I am talking about the serious stuff – Don’t drink the Kool-Aid, kids.
Today I am going to talk the serious signs you need to look out for when joining a new group on your quest for spirituality. I also have a very important message to religious leaders or if you are thinking about becoming one.

Todays Show live Column read: Seeing Owl's
“... When we are open to seeing the animals that cross our path from another perspective we can benefit from the spiritual messages they share with us. I already knew what the message of seeing owls was from my studies of Druid teachings. Owl represents wisdom, detachment, and change. The Owl is the totem bird of clairvoyance and astral travel. The veil which surrounds the normal boundaries of space and time can be pierced if you allow the energy of Owl as ally....”
