The grand jury plays an important role in the criminal process, but not one that involves a findings of guilt or punishment of a party. Instead, a prosecutor will work with a grand jury to decide whether to bring criminal charges or an indictment against a potential defendant - usually reserved for serious felonies. Grand juries are simply meant to determine whether there is enough evidence or probable cause to indict a criminal suspect. A grand jury does not need a unanimous decision from all members to indict, but it does need a supermajority of 2/3 or 3/4 agreement for an indictment. Unlike preliminary hearings, a grand jury proceeding is secret and closed to the public.
The grand jury seated in the Mike Brown case could potentially be the most important grand jury ever seated. Many feel a vote to not indict Officer Darren Wilson could easily set off a revolution in the streets of Ferguson that could spread across the country.
This show will look at the grand jury seated in the Mike Brown case as well as get an update on the Vonderrit Myers case. Our guest will be Jerryl Christmas who is a defense attorney as well as an ex-prosecutor and attorney for the family of Vonderrit Myers.. Join the conversation by calling (347) 850-8390.

The key to success is to make good decisions. The key to making good decisions is to have experience. The key to getting experience is to make bad decisions...So, with that being said, "Make decisions from the heart and use your head to make it work out"...
Until you are committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, ineffectiveness. It is true: the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves. All sorts of things begin to happen to help you that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from that decision, raising in your favor all manner of unforeseen incidents, meetings and material assistance, which you couldn't have dreamt would come your way.
It is said that history turns on small hinges. A human career, too, results from an accumulating series of decisions about large and small matters over a period of years. But the catch is that you can never know when a seemingly small decision may prove to be, from the vantage of later years, the big decision of your life.
