Tonight your host Pamela Marie Edmunds will be welcoming to her show Author Susan Allison. Their interview will include a discussion of her book "Spirits Dance; Poetry of Soul Mates."
More About Sus Allison;
As a transpersonal psychologist, Dr. Susan Allison has helped numerous clients and readers over the years heal from the loss caused by divorce, as well as heal physically and emotionally from major illnesses. She is known for her holistic approach, helping individuals see themselves as spiritual beings having a human experience. This approach can be seen clearly in her previous books, Conscious Divorce and Empowered Healer. Now in this recent work, Our Spirits Dance, Poetry of Soul Mates, Allison takes readers into a new and higher realm of personal experience, showing everyone how to be connected to a partner with physical and spiritual passion.
Allison has a doctorate in Transpersonal Psychology, is an energy healer, hypnotherapist, ordained minister and shamanic practitioner. She has been honored as a “Woman of the Year” in California for her traditional counseling work, but today her practice is more about being a spiritual teacher and coach, helping individuals grow their consciousness and find love and happiness within themselves and with a beloved mate.
Our Spirits Dance, Poetry of Soul Mates illustrates poem by poem how it feels to find one’s twin flame and create a loving and committed union. Her final poem “Immortal” also promises that such a love continues after death, and the intensity of feeling and depth of love are infinite and endless. Her poetry is the gate that ushers in her next book, You Don’t Have To Die To Go to Heaven, due out in 2015.
Susan Allison—you may know her as the highly successful author of Conscious Divorce and Empowered Healer --never believed in love at first sight—until it happened to her.
Then on a full-moon night in June 1994, she met Thomas Hickenbottom at a writer’s group, and had tea with him afterward. Then the magic began. Star-struck, they each went home, stayed up all night and wrote full-moon poems to share at the next group. Their poems had the same title and similar message!
They continued to write love poems through three separations caused by fear over the intensity of their feelings, and wrote poetry to celebrate their wedding at the summer solstice in Santa Cruz, California. They celebrated their love with three recommitment ceremonies, and kept writing poems to each other during their blissful 17-year marriage as true Soul Mates. Susan even wrote poignant poetry about her husband’s cancer and eventual death in August of 2013. In the darkest times, their love continued to light the way.
Before Thomas’ transition, he and Susan agreed they would tell their story through their love poems as an inspiration for others longing for the same kind of deep, enduring love. They wanted their poetry and their love to show that finding one’s Soul Mate IS possible. They wanted to model for readers how to live and love in a soul-mated union by creating a dialogue, with a poem of Thomas’ and one of Susan’s facing each other like love letters being exchanged. Read in order, their poetry tells the story of their love over nineteen years.
The newly published book, Our Spirits Dance by Susan Allison and Thomas Hickenbottom, illustrates the importance of having faith, and being tenacious and committed--inspiring readers to have the courage to keep their hearts open and love more deeply no matter what.
Susan Allison --you may know her as the highly successful author of Conscious Divorce and Empowered Healer-- never believed in love at first sight-until it happened to her.
Then on a full-moon night in June 1994, she met Thomas Hickenbottom--already the author of five books of poetry, and eventually, the award winning novel Local Tribes and a history of surfing in Santa Cruz--at a writer's group, and had tea with him afterward. Then the magic began. Star-struck, they each went home, stayed up all night and wrote full-moon poems to share at the next group. Their poems had the same title and similar message!

Our Spirits Dance by Susan Allison
The newly published book, Our Spirits Dance by Susan Allison and Thomas Hickenbottom, illustrates the importance of having faith, and being tenacious and committed--inspiring readers to have the courage to keep their hearts open and love more deeply no matter what. Our Spirits Dance encourages readers to work on themselves first and become the highest and best they can be, and then attract another whole person who is living his or her purpose; so as two lights they attract one another in an evolved, higher frequency of consciousness.
In Our Spirits Dance, readers can experience what soul mated love feels like, and what the signs are that say it is a soul connected or twin flame union: often love at first sight, a recognition or familiarity right away, clairvoyance with one another, intense spiritual and sexual energy, feeling this powerful energy and merging even when apart, challenges that test the union, but actually strengthen it rather than sever it, and the continued merging of souls even after death.

I'm so pleased to welcome animal-communicator and advocate, Allison Holloway, to this week's show. Allison has always had a close connection with animals, but it wasn’t until her beloved cat Emily suffered a chronic illness that she became interested in telepathic communication. She was introduced to the concept in the early 1990’s at a dog training conference in Chicago, and thus began her study and journey towards a language we share with all species. Allison has been a dog trainer for over 20 years, and served as an executive director for six years at a rural Ohio humane society. She teaches obedience, agility, and has a passion for training deaf and blind dogs. She lives on a farm in central Ohio with many dogs, cats, horses, chickens, parrots, and one very mean goat.
We look forward to having you joining us for an interesting and inspiring hour.

The study, after surveying its justice system, recommended a reduction of jail admissions, and an increase in drug detoxification and mental health treatment services coupled with an expansion of other rehabilitation services.
There is widespread support for Prop 47 from a diverse range of law enforcement, public safety, judicial and elected public officials as well as the faith based community — see www.safety and schools.com.
“In the spirit of advocating for an informed public, I encourage you to carefully assess the arguments offered by the bill’s opponents. To my mind, they are driven by a punishment first ideology, rather than any fact-based assessment.” Whyman (Oct., 2014)

Steve Gordon and Dana Reeves will be talking with Allison Stackpole, founder and lead designer of BLO Vintage Jewelry, about how she got her start, where her inspiration comes from, the challenges - and joys - of having her pieces sold in retail locations nationwide, and the role philanthropy plays in her business.
BLO Vintage is a unique Atlanta-based jewelry line that incorporates vintage and antique whistles, harmonicas, and pitch pipes into each piece, combining elements of design, history and personal safety. BLO Vintage offers five collections: Breathe, Boheme, Harmony, Dream, and Pitch. Each design incorporates a vintage or antique whistle, harmonica or pitch pipe, varying from a beautifully crafted railroad station Masters's whistle, circa 19th century England, to a petite, sweet-sounding sterling silver toy whistle from America in the 70s. Designed with a sense of whimsy and combining form with function, BLO Vintage offers a truly unique experience for the wearer. Through her extraordinary line of one of kind pieces, Allison uses a variety of mixed metals, rich deerskins, vintage silks and organic stones which are all blended to enhance the history and personality of each unique piece. BLO Vintage is a proud supporter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
