REAL TALK ALL THE TIME!!!
SHOW NOTES: In our HELP! SITUATION SPOTLIGHT™ series, we shine the light on challenges that community members have shared. This episode is, “They Don’t Want Me Here.”
Shunned. Ostracized. Despised. Reviled.
When we are somewhere that we are not wanted, it may hurt. We all crave acceptance, support and being embraced by others. In our families, in our social groups, with our romantic partners and friends we must be treated with affection, attention and acknowledgement. We design and choose (as adults) all of these relationships that we engage in on a daily basis. As we have discussed in many other programs, people who positively care about us, who are our friends all pass this test, “Our happiness is their happiness. Our hurt is their hurt. Our disappointment is their disappointment.” If a person is happy when we are hurt, they are not our friend and are not deserving of being in our close community of caring comprised of family and friends.
Outside of our community of caring we interact with a very different population in terms of being wanted (i.e., at work and when dealing with the general public). The general public is not our community of caring. They (ideally) all each have their own community of caring as we do. The general public most often does not notice us. This is normal and expected with over seven billion people on our single planet! Of the small group of the general public that does notice us (we are coworkers, volunteers at the same organization, etc.), the majority of people are agnostic about us (i.e., they have no opinion about us at all). This is normal. They are not invested in our lives and although they may know our names they don’t think much about

SDG 149 Is it Biblical to Hate?
1 John 2:15-17
When you're a Christian, the Lord fills your heart with love, but we're taught by The Word not to love everything.
In fact, as a child of God there are some things we cannot truly love and ought to actually hate,
Yes I said hate. Proverbs 8:13 says that fear of the LORD is to hate evil, pride, arrogance, the evil way and the lying mouth. And by the way this is the beginning of wisdom.
So in this message we’ll focus on “the world” AKA “the system” and just what exactly it means and doesn’t mean to hate Biblically and how “the system” has twisted the meaning of the word hate..
1 John 2:15-17
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
Speaking about women that try to go out of there way to try to one up another sister! Its crazy to me because I am not the hating type more so a cheerleader. For anyone that's doing something positive. We as women need to stop fakin and embrace one another's differences. Uplift one another instead of trying to one up one another. Tonight, join an Observer as we discuss an insightful conversation and the realizations which came from it.
I have been running myself ragged the last two weeks, so the show may end early tonight...my apologies in advance.
Your calls are welcome and encoraged.
The presidency of the United States has been bestowed upon 44 men. Of these 44 men, 43 have been white men and the 44th president currently in office is a black man. 43 white men have ruled over the entire country. From a country of 13 colonies to a country of 50 states. From a country of people who were native Americans, people who were immigrants, and people who were stolen into this country. The presidency has been there for some of the people, and the presidency has been there for all of the people. Why is politicians threathening impeachment of the one and only black man to ever hold the power of president of the united states of America?
Politicians who wants the president impeached because one black president is one too many, try it and you lose. Your relatives will lose. Your descendants will lose. History will document your hate in books, blogs, movies, magazines, history artifacts, you name it. Your hatred will be blasted across the world and family who come after you will change their names. Your heritage ends when impeachment proceeding begin.
You feel self righteous? This has held America back from the beginning of supremancy of the wealthy white male. You think yourself to be superior to all others? This is ignorance. Ignorance stagnates ideas and growth in America. It shows ignorance and corruption to seek to impeach the first black president of America. Out of hate, it won't happen. The majority of voters voted for the first black president. You who swore to leave America be a man of your word, leave. A threshold has been crossed and wealthy white males will remain wealthy but white males will not reign supreme ever again. You lack confidence and the more you dwell on what you don't want, the more you get of what you don't want. Your only revenge? Vote for a white man in 2016.
There are more than 200 different types of cancer and it can develop in any of 60 different organs within the body. There are three main types of mesothelioma; a rare cancer of the protective lining that covers many of the internal organs of the body. It's most commonly caused by exposure to asbestos.
During her childhood Heather von St. James did what many little girls do. She wore her daddy's jacket around the house when he came home from work -- never suspecting there was harm coming to her via that playful act.
In November 2005 at the age of 36, just three months after celebrating the birth of her daughter, she was diagnosed with pleural mesothelioma. The delicately risky surgery to save her life took her more than 1400 miles away from the life she'd just brought into the world. The surgery performed at Boston's Brigham and Women's Hospital consisted of removing the lining of the lung, an entire lung, half of her diaphragm, the lining of her heart and her sixth rib. That marked the beginning of her journey to survive and her battle with what she calls "scanxiety." Motherhood and marriage interspersed with doses of humor and faith have strengthened her when anxiety and the fear of recurrence hit home.
She's now celebrating her 8th year as a survivor. Her mission in life is to help others with mesothelioma around the globe. Her stories of awareness and hope appear in places like The Huffington Post, Moms N' Charge, Everyday Health, interviews and hope-filled awareness blogs. When she's not busy speaking, advocating, and inspiring others, she's spends her time with husband/best-friend Cameron, volunteering at her daughter's school, planting flowers, and enjoying all things whimsical. Is there unnecessary hate going on in the black community? Do conscious people hate substance and love Surface gossip? Will we ever come together to rise above the Crabs in the Barrel syndrome? Are we holding ourselves back?
