Eva Maria Martinez embodies a lifelong passion for aerospace and aviation. A graduate of both the Royal Military College of Canada and the Canadian Forces School of Aerospace Technology and Engineering, Eva holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Engineering Management with a specialty in Aerospace. From 1993 to 2002, Eva worked as an Aeronautical Engineer in the Royal Canadian Air Force overseeing aircraft maintenance operations at 413 Transport and Rescue Squadron in Greenwood, Nova Scotia and later leading the Aircrew Life Support Equipment group at the Defence and Civil Institute of Environmental Medicine (DCIEM).
Eva retired from the military in 2002 as a Major. She is currently the Director of Program Management for Boeing Programs at UTC Aerospace Systems Landing Gear where her personal love for aviation and years of aerospace experience are put to use on a daily basis. She is also on the Board of Directors for Women in Aerospace Canada and was named a Women of Influence 2012 Canadian Diversity Champion. Eva provides leadership at every opportunity and mentors young women in the Region of Halton through the “Women as Career Coaches” programme
