    At hospitals around the country, patients are being saved and treated from various injuries. Some of these injuries are life threatening while others are not. But, the injuries aren't the only life threatening concern to a patient; germs are another.

         Nancy Donegan, managing director of the infection control department at Washington Hospital, is going to discuss the threats of these germs to hospitalized patients and the importance of combating the spread of these microscopic organism in these various facilities.

    Tammy Lynne Hall is a pianist, organist, composer, and arranger in the Bay Area. Her style ranges from Classical, Gospel and Jazz to Brazilian, Salsa and Funk. Major influences are Tania Maria, Beethoven, Liszt, Stevie Wonder, Nina Simone, Mary Lou Williams, Dorothy Donegan, and Thelonious Monk. Tammy began playing piano at four, in Dallas. She played church organ for her godfather's church, while winning blue ribbons in regional and national classical competitions. She won a music scholarship to the Hockaday School for Girls and to Mills College in Oakland, California. In 1987, in Brussels she led Touché Différente, performing in Europe, at Brussels Jazz Club, Club Machato, Der Zingel in Holland, Ghent Music Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival, Antwerp Festival, Ostende Jazz Festival-Brugge, Ferrari Club of Mechelen, Copacabana Club in Brussels, Bierodrome Brussels, Casino in Ibiza, and Jewish festivals. She collaborated with Fabien de Griyse, Peter Cor, Gyle Waddy, Daniel Zannello, Mutzar Walley, Patrizio Battisti and Noah Howard. In 1989, Tammy returned to San Francisco, where she worked with Connie Champagne, Debbie DeCoudreaux, violinist Jeremy Cohen, Ruth Davies, Philip Hamilton, Veronica Klaus, Allison Miller, Denise Perrier, Houston Person, Liza Silva, Robert Stewart, David "Fathead" Newman, Rhonda Benin, Frankye Kelly, Lady Mem'fis, Kim Nalley, Denise Perrier, Little Jimmy Scott, Linda Tillery and the Cultural Heritage Choir, Voz Do Brazil and the late Etta Jones. Her arrangements were used by Veronica Klaus, TARC and A New Leaf Benefits and Equality California. Tammy accompanies the U.C. Santa Cruz Porter College Gospel Choir, and teaches, privately. She is a member of the Montclair Women's Big Band, recorded at George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch.
