Most have had a bad experience with "group projects". Particularly those who end up carrying the weight for others. However, on this show we will discuss the importance of teamwork and what it takes to make it work. I will be speaking with my co-author of "Life and Basketball: 7 Locker Room Lessons That Score Big In Life" and former collegiate basketball coach, Jackie DeVane and the current women's basketball coach for Cheyney University, Kyle Adams on the subject.
Jackie DeVane has been a head basketball coach on the collegiate level for 20 years, coaching at several schools, including Cheyney University and Monmouth University. She has a genuine concern for youth, and she takes great pride in helping young people work to become the best at whatever they choose to do in life.
Kyle Adams is the current women's basketball coach for Cheyney University and is really passionate about changing the lifes of young women through the game of basketball.
What is the Virtual Gastric Band? How can it help you? What does it do? Well, have you ever heard of the Gastric Band surgery? Do you know what the Gastric Band actually is? Well, the Gastric Band surgery essentially shrinks your stomach...which essentially results in having a lower appetite..which results in you eating much less...which greatly contributes and results in you losing weight! Now, if we fast forward, the Virtual Gastric Band is the same procedure but done without the use of a surgeon's knife! This technqiue was created by Shiela Grander, a British Hypnotherapist.
This surgery in a doctors office would average around $15,000.00. However through hypnotherapy, essentially the same process is done but again without the surgeon's knife..Hence the name the Virtual Gastric Band.
The process is about 4 sessions and over perhaps the period of a month or so. Also, you get a free self hypnosis MP3 to listen to daily. So why do you need this MP3? Well, the MP3 will reinforce the gastric band treatment . You will need it so that the mind is reminded to follow the treatment. However you would only have to listen to it daily for about 30 days straight. It's painless and safe.
Approximate 30% of Amercians are obese and by 2030, 50% of Americans will also become obese. The Virtual Gatric Band is a natural and holistic alternative to surgery. There are no side effects and no recovery time needed. The band can be adjusted and or even removed anytime by your hypnotherapist.

SHOW NOTES: Our FINANCIAL FIERCENESS!™ series integrates our financial goals into our development plan for surpassing our goals. We deal with the specific issues we need to explore in order to achieve (and surpass) our financial goals. This episode is, "Be EASY To Work With (or be broke)."
What does this episode title mean?
1) You want money. People want to give you money. Why make it hard for them to do so?
One of the challenges that all professionals face is frustration at the self-sabotaging behaviors that some humans implement. The intersection of income and attitude is one of the most difficult for me to personally understand. I have worked as a mentor, coach, corporate trainer, speaker, consultant and attorney with people who lament their income. “I don’t make enough money!” “They don’t pay me what I am worth!” “My business is not doing well!”
Their frustration often stems from the fact that people build artificial blockades between their stated goal and their current situation. In other words, the most simple analysis is that the person wants money and someone else wants to give money away (by hiring an employee, purchasing a good or service, etc.).
2) We have all been on the side of the equation when we have money and are doing everything that we can to give it away and we are prevented from doing so. We walk into a store to purchase an item and no one that works there will help us. We walk into a restaurant to purchase food and drink and no one will seat us or serve our table. We desperately need more staff members for our business (we are swamped with more work than we can handle!), yet the applicants are late or don’t show up at all. We have to pay
Increasing your value and becoming indispensible in the #workplace isn't difficult if you follow a few key principles. Don't worry... it doesn't involve working 70 hours a week either. You just have to be willing to do what most people refuse to do. Let's face it, no one is going to pluck you up from the daily grind just for showing up and doing your work. The line between those who rise up and those who don't is pretty thin. The difference between you and the next guy isn't your age, your gender, your education, or any other external thing. The difference lies within you. It's about #selfleadership and figuring how to think differently about your future and your #success.

No one is coming along to save you
You may be untentionally limiting your #career potential

When it comes to treatment for drug addiction, it might seem counterproductive to attempt to force someone to go to rehab. In fact, in some cases this can lead to further complication of the issue as an addict may retreat and isolate if they feel threatened or coerced. However, because of the high association between substance abuse and crime, many drug users and alcoholics find themselves the focus of criminal court cases. Judges may require that a convicted drug offender attend a substance abuse rehab program, as part of their sentencing. Unfortunately, experts in the field of addiction disagree about the effectiveness of compulsory programs. Examining their efficacy is critical to developing a more comprehensive understanding of how treatment for addiction works.
Those who oppose the imposition of mandatory drug rehab programs generally cite “choice” as the most significant factor in whether a treatment program will be effective or not. These people argue that because drug use and the behaviors associated with it are a choice, that addicts must therefore choose to get treatment on their own volition. In an article on mandatory drug treatment, J.D. Tuccille writes;
“Treatment might be offered to criminals in the same way as other medical and educational services are offered, as a means of maintaining or improving their health and changing their circumstances. But pursuing drug treatment would have to be the choice of the criminal who is responsible for his or her own actions in all circumstances.
