The game of life is hard to play
I'm gonna loose it anyway
The losing card I'll someday lay
So this is all I have to say,
That suicide is painless
It brings on many changes
And I can take or leave it if I please.
That song later became famous as the theme song for the movie--and, later long running T.V. show--M*A*S*H. But suicide is not painless, and it's not humorous. Baby boomers in record numbers are taking the suicide short cut to escape the anxiety, disappointment, and seemly pointlessness of life. But, is that an answer?

SUICIDE statistics have risen sharply in the United States over the last ten years, and yet it still remains a forbidden topic to speak about.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention published findings this month that indicate more people now die of suicide then of car accidents.
Why are we as a society reluctant to bring the subject out of the shadow of shame and into the light of healing?
HOST KATHY BARRETT interviews renowned Argentinian author MARTA MERAJVER-KURLAT about her book "JUST TOSS THE ASHES," a story about a successful lawyer who commits suicide and her son's journey to understand why. "Just Toss The Ashes," portrays the emotional impact that suicide has on the people left behind.
MARTA MERAJVER-KURLAT is an Argentine novelist, translator, essayist, and biographer. Her attraction to the ways in which mankind tells its own history encouraged her to undertake studies in myth, language, literature, psychology, and psychoanalysis. Accordingly, her novels Just Toss the Ashes, Los gloriosos sesenta y después, and El tramo final delve into intriguing aspects of human nature. She currently holds a permanent seminar on Tragedy and is a guest lecturer at APA (Asociación Psicoanalítica Argentina) and EFBA (Escuela Freudiana de Buenos Aires).

1,) Guest speaker Danielle Green tells her daughters story. Angel took her life because of bullying March 2013. She hung herself waiting for the bus to arrive. She and her mother pleaded with the school to correct the bullies. Nothing was done.
2.) Guest speaker Angie Stagge Spainhower of Bully Police and her daughter Chelsea Little will share her bully survival story. They will also explain the new bully law passed June 2013 in Indiana, that will require bullies and their families to be counseled.
3.) Guest speaker Kevin Epling of Bully Police USA and Defeat the label explains Matt's law an anti bully law in Michigan, Matt was his son he lost to bully suicide in 2002.
4.) Call in speaker Philip J. Sweitzer, an anti-bully Attorney explained federal issues in the bully law and the need for legal defense fund for bully victims.
