Into the Cosmos - Episode 6

    in Sports

This week on #IntotheCosmos, your hosts Ej Garr and Frank Dell'Apa get you set for a big weekend in Florida, as the NY Cosmos get set to make their first trip to the expansion club Miami FC's home at FIU Stadium on Saturday, May 7.

With three points to make up in the table and only five matches remaining in the spring portion of the campaign, the NY Cosmos look to ride the momentum of a big win at Shuart Stadium over the Railhawks last weekend.

Three Cosmos appear on the NASL Team of the Week, one of which being Jimmy Maurer who is our guest this week on the show. Jimmy made three key saves late in the match on balls that had eyes for the back of the net, but the Cosmos keeper rallied to earn his 28th clean sheet in his NASL Career, which is a modern-day record.

The Cosmos travel to Edmonton from Miami for back-to-back road games that will help decide the spring title, so tune in to One World Sports at 8PM EDT on Saturday, May 7, to root for your Cosmos!

Washington Nationals' right-hander Max Scherzer returned to form and the Nats' bats came to life in the sixth and seventh innings against St. Louis Cardinals' starter Carlos Martinez as the Nationals swept the three-game set in Busch Stadium with a 6-1 win. It was the first sweep in the Nationals' franchise history (2005-present) and the first sweep in overall franchise history since the Montreal Expos swept the Cards thirty years again in 1986. 30 years?
