NWP welcomes writer, producer and director Brian Nunes.
His award winning film "Find Your Way" is a discussion of how we define success - both culturally and personally. It examines the way we create value based on context and challenges audiences to think deeper about how they consume culture. http://www.worldtreefilms.com/wtfilms/desktop.htm
Born and raised in Houston, TX, Brian spent his young professional years in Information Technology - something he was good at but eventually got bored with. Living in Austin after college, he could no longer stand his network management job and sold everything to travel the country busking and pondering life.
In Seattle, Brian began producing film and television, utilizing a film studies background from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a natural ability for storytelling. After discovering a colorful street culture, he started documenting buskers at the Pike Place Market and eventually finished a 97 minute feature documentary on the subject.

There's no question that Steve Nash is probably on the short list for many people as one of the most popular and important Canadian sports figures of all time. This two time NBA MVP has been described as one of the most unique athletes in the world and his new movie "NASH - The Documentary" gives an up close and inside look into the individual. I had an opportunity to sit with Michael Hamilton who produced and directed the film to obtain further insights into the making of "NASH - The Documentary"
Have you ever wondered if your life's work has been successful? And, if so, what the real definition of success might be? In Find Your Way, a young documentary filmmaker, Brian Nunes, sets out to discover why we like some things and not others as he follows the journeys of some popular Seattle street performers, otherwise known as buskers, through the process of opening themselves up to the crowds and hoping their performances connect.
At one point in the documentary we see the story of Joshua Bell, a world-famous violinist, busking in the subway as part of an experiment to test whether the crowds will appreciate great passion and talent when the artist is removed from the performance halls and placed on the sidewalk. Their responses are shocking.
Brian's real-life journey parallels the ones in the film as he works to get the documentary onto more screens around the country. So far, at the International Film Festival in Spokane, WA, it sold out to two audiences and at Houston's WorldFest it won a Remi, proving itself a popular fan-favorite.
We'll have a conversation with Brian about the film and his thoughts on success.

Elementary Genocide: “From Primary to Penitentiary” exposes the socially engineered mechanism created by our government and utilizing the public school system to label elementary aged African American males as work for hire targets within the US penal system. Many refuse to believe there is a corporate attack on the minds and productivity of Black youth through intercepting their educational, economical and social development, and resulting in statistically funneling them through the revolving doors of the criminal justice system. Elementary Genocide confirms this theory and seeks to educate parents, teachers and families, so that we can reclaim our young men and ensure the future of our community.
