The Fashion of Passion
I saw a girl whose legs were spangled, They were so long that they easily tangled. And when she wore her high heeled shoes, She was a package no man could refuse. Because when she walked she started to sway, And set things in motion just the right way. Lines of young men will stare as she passes, Hoping for a smile or a bat of her lashes. But the beautiful girl can’t stop to flirt, Because her shoes make her feet hurt. And all she wants is to walk in bare feet, So when each day ended she’d always retreat. Off came her shoes when she entered the door. Because of the pain that she couldn’t ignore. She’d rub her feet with a smile on her face, Remembering how well she’d run the day’s race. The look in their eyes gave her great satisfaction, She’d received the rewards of each man’s reaction. Alone in her room she’d sit with her prize, Her two feet swollen to the next larger size. I’m not sure which ones are more confused, The girl herself or the men that she’d used, To me it seems that she’s playing a game, And when she wins it she’s alone and lame. I don’t really get just why she’d play, What dividends can it possibly pay? I guess it depends on defining your passion, And I’ve never been one to understand fashion.

How about an mp3 player loaded with podcasts about prepping from your favorite podcaster?
HiPoint has very inexpensive guns for sale. You can buy a brand new 380, 9mm, 40 SW, or 45 acp for under $200. And their customer service/warranty is the BEST in the industry.
A Mosin Nagant can be purchased for between 100-200 dollars. That is a GREAT entry-level price for a rifle you can hunt with. You don’t need a $1,000 hunting rifle to harvest a deer.
A .22 rifle is also a great 1st gun…but not for big game hunting.

The last time I spoke with MM4 Founder and CEO Dave Bowen was a year ago not long after his company was acquired by Xchanging.
During that interview, in which I referenced my Procurement Insights September20th post "Is the acquisition cup half full or half empty: A tale of two takeovers!", I talked about why the majority of M&A's fail to deliver the expected results and, why I thought that the Xchanging-MM4 deal would be the exception.
A couple of months later, I reported to you that the Xchanging-MM4 acquisition was already paying dividends when Xchanging was able to land a contract with utility company Severn Trent Services.
So here we are a year later, and while there have been some inevitable changes, the real question is simply this - is this relationship still paying the expected dividends?
Joining me today to talk about the Xchanging-MM4 M&A one year later is Dave Bowen, CEO of MM4 who is now also the Managing Director of Procurement Services, Xchanging Americas.

Today’s Episode, Media Matters, is all about recent articles and headlines. Some of it is news, some of it is simply of interest to us here at HD. Either way, there’s a lot to cover today, so let us begin:
Obama Uses Executive Orders to Fight Gun Violence
One of the reforms, GLARING in its absence, was any mention of the Justice Department’s Fast and Furious, a program of giving guns to Mexican Drug Lords….
…no mention of violent films and video games…industries controlled by liberal elites…
China: World’s #1 Prepper
A report that tells us what we already know: China is stockpiling food, gold, and everything else they can to prepare for times ahead.
Is China the next Superpower?
I disagree with this assessment, but worth a look. I believe China WILL be the next military Superpower. Produced by CaspianReport.
PRESIDENT OBAMA: The issue here is whether or not America pays its bills. We are not a dead beat nation. So there is a very simple solution to this. Congress authorizes us to pay our bills. Now, if the House and Senate want to give me the authority so they do not have to take these tough votes, if they want to put the responsibility on me to raise the debt ceiling, I am happy to take it. Mitch McConnell, the Republican Leader in the Senate had a proposal like that last year and I was happy to accept it.
Is it possible to know how well your social media activities are delivering dividends on behalf of your brand? Yes! In fact, if you cannot measure it, it is not worth doing it! There are five social media measurable attributes that will help you attain the best use of your time and capital equity relative to your social media marketing strategy. That is our focus on this edition of, “The Strategist Radio LIVE."
Today I tackle a listener’s email about starting out.
Here’s his email:
Hey it greats to listen to you every week now. I found your show on the preppers podcast network (yes it was the show doomsday that got me interested but I have grown past that) and it is the one I enjoy the most. I find that most of the thoughts you express are similar to my own thoughts and feelings. So I want to say thank you! I myself am looking to get out of town and move into the country and slowly start a farming lifestyle. By day I am an entomologist so I hope to start by growing an orchard and raising bees. Would you have any suggestions/pitfalls to be aware of while looking and purchasing property? It seems daunting at the moment but at least my lady is fully on board and not only supportive but enthusiastic. Thank you again for your show and information.
Size–don’t raise bees on less than an acre
Southern Exposure is best (usually)
Are you thinking in phases or are you jumping-in and want the whole hog (giant piece of land upfront)
Consider a practice property of a few acres before you buy 200 acres.
What are you going to do with all that fruit/honey?
Are you going into business?
Are you going to be retired or are you going to continue to work?
What varieties will work in your area?
In-between your trees you can fill-in with berry bushes (in case you think you’re out of room to add to your property’s permafood
Oh, it's that time! It's that time! The time of the year when men try to finish up their "honey-do lists" to get situated for football! The NFL is back and although Preseason will be boring except for Week 3 and injury reports, it's still the NFL.
That also means that NCAA Football is right around the corner as well. Huge Week 1 matchups in college football to kickoff their season as well:
(18) TX A&M vs. (4) So. Carolina; Penn State vs. (10) Univ. of Central FL; West VA vs. (7) Alabama
We'll preview the NCAA as the kickoff date gets closer, but tonight we're focusing on the Hall of Fame induction ceremony, rookies to watch in Preseason and spotlights on the favorite teams of our Show Legends.
Will the multiple changes made in the Cowboys coaching staff pay dividends?
Are the youngsters ready to contribute on the Steelers' defense?
Is Foley really "the man" at QB for the Eagles?
Will Schaub keep his newly found job in Oakland or get unseated by rookie Carr?
These things and maybe some NBA talk as Zone Coverage returns to the Talk 2 Q Radio Show!
"No experts. Just opinions."
Show No. 378
Scheduled for 90-120 mins.
February 1st, 2013
My father penned me a letter a little while ago. It was just after the election and I was so excited when I received it. Unfortunately, a few family emergencies pushed it aside and it’s now January and I’m finally getting around to publishing it.
From the Desk of Engineer Ray (November 2012)
The election is over and we lost.
The people that get freebies won.
It is quite clear that the US will have an economic meltdown; so get ready for it.
Let’s get prepared NOW!
Number one is food. Build up a FULL Year’s Supply! I have mine and but I’m still stocking up. A few days ago, I went into a dollar store. and loaded up on pie filling. The due date on the cans was May 2015. Not bad.
If you have a friend or family member in the sticks–use them…like I’m being used.
Heating plans are a must, especially in the north. You MUST be prepared to lose your main supply of heat. Not having a backup supply of heat is not an option. What would you do if you lost your electricity (and presumably your heat…as most heating systems have electrical components). My main heat source is oit, but my back-up options are electric, propane, a wood burning fireplace, and a wood stove.
There was a news item I heard the other day…
The city of Los Angeles is losing a congressional seat. Why? People are moving out (they see the handwriting on the wall).
So if you live in a city and have a chance to move out–GO FOR IT! If we have a meltdown, the city is where you do NOT want to be.
As a veteran who has seen most of the world, I never dreamed we would be in a third-world we find ourselves in today.
So, I beg you: PREPARE FOR THE FUTURE NOW!
