Today a classic series on THE DYNAMICS OF POSSIBLE NUCLEAR EXTINCTION:
The anti nuclear campaigner and physician Dr. Helen Caldicott organized a two day symposium in February 2015 with an international panel of leading experts in disarmament, political science, existential risk, anthropology, medicine, nuclear weapons and artificial intelligence. They addressed the risk of accidental nuclear war, recently proven facts about a global nuclear winter that can be caused by the unleashing of just a few nuclear weapons, the expanding militarization of space, the power and pathology of the US military industrial complex, privatization of the US nuclear weapons labs, nuclear war crimes in the Marshall Islands, as well as two of the vibrant movements to abolish nuclear weapons, a divestment effort under the title Don't Bank On The Bomb as well as ICAN, the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons.
2nd hour: Dr. Michael Parenti, the progressive political scientist's unscripted reflections on capitalism, socialism, the role of universities, Cuban plumbers, Russian prostitutes, and his former running mate--and once close friend--Bernie Sanders. Plus commentary on capitalism, socialism, public utilities, popular rebellion, plutocrats in general, the Waltons in particular, Occupy Wall Street, and the monetary system.
Also a brief recorded essay by Parenti from 2005--"Welfare for the Wealthy"--and relevant songs by Monty Python's Flying Circus and David Rovics. More details, photos, nice links, & other good stuff on the show's Web site: http://newworldnotes.blogspot.com
As support grows for a selective Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) campaign against companies profiting from Israel's occupation of Palestinian lands, many around the world are watching closely as the United Methodist Church considers a groundbreaking resolution at its general convention in Tampa, Florida. The resolution calls for the church to "divest promptly" from Caterpillar, Motorola Solutions, and Hewlett-Packard -- companies that supply some of the products used to maintain Israel's illegal policies in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Please join the IMEU as we discuss these and other issues with Palestinian, Israeli, and American supporters of the divestment resolution.
Basically being cognizant of the affect of what you do (how you carry things) on your relationship. Take into consideration of what your mate thinks. Are you putting in what you want and/or expect out of your relationship/marriage? I have had this particular challenge in relationship/marriage from both ends.
Being able to be “cognizant” of your “actions affects” requires a high level of Objectivity. How do you truly divest enough from your subjectivity (hurt and emotions) to see your “actions affects”?!? How does this come into play with choosing our mates, spouses and life partners?

"I think that the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions campaign will greatly intensify. It will be incredibly even more difficult for defenders of Israel's apartheid regime to defend Israel in this new era.
