“Birth is not only about making babies. Birth is about making mothers--strong, competent, capable mothers who trust themselves and know their inner strength.” Barbra Katz Rothman. When it comes to Birth women are often scared and confused! But there is another way. Birth is just as much a spiritual and emotional journey as it is physical one. Maha al Musa, founder of Belly Dance for Birth, shares her cultural tradition of Belly Dancing with women to help support their journey inwards that is pregnancy and birth. Thorugh birth we can have a profound experience where we learn to draw strength, courage and grace - all amazing qualities for motherhood. Even if you aren't planning children or have older children, it's importan for all of us to gain a better understand of the significance birth has as in a woman's life as a Rite of Passage - so that we can support her. It could be you, your friend, your daughter, your niece or your sister who will be grateful that you have some awareness and understanding of birth in this light. www.epoweringmotherhoodradio.com

Sel Kerans discusses his new book, Leading the Dance: Living well with Parkinson’s Disease, and his own journey on the road to recovery in an open, conversational expose of a five year journey with Parkinson’s disease and the experiences that have inspired the writing of a book that may be helpful, motivational and encouraging for others, especially those newly diagnosed with the condition.
His book has been dedicated to the late Robin Williams and is about overcoming adversity, staying positive and content; focusing on healing, recovery and living well. Leading the dance with an unwelcome stranger called Parkinson’s disease. Sel discusses:
What hurdles have you faced?
How have you overcome them?
Would you consider yourself recovered from Parkinson's disease?
Do you believe it's possible to recover completely from the symptoms of Parkinson's disease?
You mention in your book some reluctance with medication - what's been your approach to taking medication over the five years?
What resources have been useful for you in learning about alternative approaches to managing the symptoms?

HERE WE DISCUSS HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN FROM EVEN THE THINGS THAT WE CAN NOT SEE. HOW IT IS EQUALLY IMPORTANT TO BE MINDFUL OF THE PEOPLE YOU HANG AROUND, THE THINGS YOU EXPOSE YOUR FAMILY TOO AND YOUR OWN MENTALITY WHEN IT COMES TO THINGS. THERE ARE ENERGIES ON THE PLANET THAT ARE EVIL AND OPPORTUNISTIC AND DO NOT DISCRIMINATE AGAINST THE YOUNG. IN FACT, MANY EVIL SPIRITS PREFER YOUNG SOULS. WALK WITH ME AS WE TAKE A JOURNEY INTO THE REALM OF UNDERSTANDING OUR ROLE AS PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS WHEN IT COMES TO THE SPIRITUAL WELL-BEING OF OUR CHILDREN,

Our Guest will be Garnet Schulhauser
On the radio show Garnet will talk about:
1) His new book Dancing Forever with Spirit
2) What has happen since the writing of his first book?
3) What are the major new lessons he has learned from his guide?
4) Did he find out why his guide was gone for so long with no communication?
Garnet Schulhauser is a retired lawyer who lives near Victoria, on Vancouver Island, with his wife, Cathy, and little dog, Abby. He grew up on a small farm in Saskatchewan and moved to Calgary, Canada, after law school where he practiced corporate law for over thirty years with two blue-chiplaw firms. After retiring from his law firm in 2008, he began his new career as an author and his first book, Dancing on a Stamp, was published in 2012. Since the release of his first book, Garnet has been active with book signing tours and speaking engagements and has been a frequent guest on radio talk shows. When he is not writing or connecting with his followers, Garnet enjoys golfing, nature walks in the forest with Abby, and family gatherings with his sons, Blake and Colin, and their partners, Lauren and Bergis, and granddaughter Kymera.
In Dancing on a Stamp, Garnet recounts how his life changed dramatically one day in 2007 (while still practicing law) when he was confronted on the street by a homeless man named Albert (who was actually a wise spirit in disguise—an emissary from the spirit world).
