The arts have been taken out of many public schools, a decision some say helped contribute to the climate of violence. One community organization is seeking to bring back the arts and use music and dance to resurrect the spirit of peace in the hearts of those who have exploded with anger and violence. It has often challeging for me to write bios for our guests, and our guest this week, Annette Bader, is no exception. Annette is simply an amazing person. She is a singer, a musician, a dancer, a music and dance therapist, an astrologer, a "Communitarian" living in the San Juan Islands, a certified leader for "Dance of Universal Peace", and perhaps her most important role is being a mother. Annette is also a breast cancer surviver. I asked Annette to come on our show not because of any of her skills or professions, but simply for who she is as a person. I met Annette in a workshop where I observed her openess to discuss life-- I learn about myself by talking with her. This show will likely go deep.
