History of the Eisenhower Interstate System It was not until June 29, 1956, when President Eisenhower signed the Federal Aid Highway Act, that interstate highways began to meet the challenge of the growing number of automobiles on the nation’s highways. While in Europe during World War II General Eisenhower viewed the ease of travel on the German autobahns. That, coupled with the experiences of a young Lt. Col. Eisenhower in the 1919 Transcontinental Convoy, convinced the President of the overwhelming need for safer and speedier highways. Americans are fed up with the government Lies
Its time to teach liberals a lesson. Since they started this, we need to finish it; they have declared war on us, so lets show them what war is! It is very disheartening to see that some of the American People are this attached to their entitlements and so very detached from the Constitution, which is the last best hope of protecting the people. Obama is a small man. He ran a Chicago style campaign, full of negativity and vitriol and Americans fell for it. Not saying the majority mind you, because they found a lot of dead people voting and that in some districts, more people voted for Obama that actually live there; not to mention that there were republicans living there as well. What do you suppose happened to their votes? I am suggesting that we get tough and stop the playing around the issues and call the left out on every issue and throw the statement "Politically Correct" out with the other trash.
