Love disability & Equal Rights! Dream Catchers with LesPaul
When people with disabilities fall in love our own government often gets in the way and tries to make it very hard, if not totally impossible for people just because they have a disability to fall in love, get married, and live the American dream!
Often couples with disabilities who want to get married, have to decide to shack up instead of get married, have their benefits cut, removed, or be told, it’s better for you not to get married and live together, even if it is against your own religious beliefs. This is wrong! Is time to take a stand is time for people everywhere to let freedom ring for equality for people with disabilities to live just like everyone else and fall in love and get married.

Fried, dyed, and laid to the side is a phrase the Fred G Sanford often used on the TV show Sanford and Son but it all To easily could be used to describe the trials and tribulations of traumatic brain injury are other disabilities! so tonight we're going to discuss what it will take for all of us survivors to Dream Big and often!
Emotional Roller Coaster
Finding Your Own Power
Learning to Take Charge of Self
Finding Inner Peace
I have not lived through multiple traumatic Brain Injuries and Aneurysms and several rare neurosurgical procedures to be a weakling, to surrender, to fall apart at the seams, Archie's failure as an option! No, it's time to be a Dream Catcher in 2015. it's time to find your confidence again and come out of the shadows of darkness and into the light! because I was once a week. I am now strong, because of my failures.
I will persevere and because I'm alive. I have a purpose and you do to so join me tonight on Dream Catchers with Les Paul as we strive to make a difference and overcome the fear and darkness that surrounds us!!!
Matter on Dream Catchers with Les Paul.
Matter is tonight’s topic, Why Matter? Do I matter what your Brain is made of well Matter of course isn’t it silly! We all Matter and it is my goal using the word Matter to show you how you and I Matter and what we can build together when we realize we can do amazing things anyway!!!!
Now think of the word Matter and how it applies to you in every way. For example: Before the 20th century, the term matter included ordinary matter composed of atoms and excluded other energy phenomena such as light or sound. Matter commonly exists in four states (or phases): solid, liquid and gas, and plasma. However, advances in experimental techniques have revealed other previously theoretical phases, such as Bose–Einstein condensates and fermionic condensates.
Now put into context the fact that you entire brain is made of matter and if you add a brain injury to that you come up with multiple combinations and unrealistic reasons that we survivors aren’t capable of recovering to our maximum potential and crush the myth and the lie that in 2015 survivors can’t make it out of the despair of disability when say YES WE CAN IN 2015 as we enter s brave new World of discovery of and enter into a new phase as inspired survivors that believe that what MATTERS, Is the power between our ears and the hunger to make creative and new changes that will teach us all that there is a much better way to live with a disability and feel powerful at the same time.

My Guest Tonight is Aaron Beltran. He’s 23 years old and because of several concussions and head injuries he is multiple Brain Injury Survivor. He I only had a slight concussion was dizzy and got sick after a little while. Then I was fine did not think too much of it. He was told by his Doctors that if I ever hit my head again I probably will not be here anymore. The first time I have had a concussion. I was in fourth grade playing football with all my friends and as I was running to catch the ball, I ran into a tree. I only had a slight concussion was dizzy and got sick after a little while I was fine and did not think too much of it. Then about six months later, I was riding a horse that took off with me. I ended up falling off my helmet came off and I hit my head hard. It also broke my arm on this fall. My mother rushed me to the doctor as I had seizures with this head injury. I don’t remember too much about just what people have told me. Then a couple of years later I was at a horse show and I jumped the fence when I went over the head of my horse and fell on my head. I was wearing a helmet and a safety vest. I still had a bad concussion and was dizzy and sick for two days. A lot of years went by and every now and then for no reason I would get a little dizzy at times and did not think much of it. At the time I was 18 years old and them out foxhunting in Maryland coming up to a jump the horse decided to stop now, when I was foxhunting. We didn’t have a harness on a helmet, so as a horse stopped his head came up hit me in the face and the helmet flew off. I did stay on the horse and had a bloody face my helmet flew off. I did stay on the horse and had a bloody nose, but being who I am. I brushed it off and kept on going for another hour. When I did get back to the barn the grooms asked if I was okay. They said I was white as a sheet and I told them I didn’t feel very well, so they put me in the car and took me to the hospital.
Mind Control and Manipulation - Dream Catchers - Les Paul
You are born you live and die. You smile, you cry, and if you live long enough you will have some sort of Brain Injury or Disability and suddenly you become vulnerable and many times can fall in to the hell of a trap called the Medical Model! The Medial Model treats you as a disease or an Illness and often robs you of your rights and dignity like a thief in the Night or does it?
Yes often it can but in the realm of the Independent Living movement Independent Living which is a movement that helps people with disabilities who are right in the middle of the struggle and the fight for Independence find the tools advocacy and support needed to try to find a bold new way of life!!!
Tonight I say join me in the fight of a life time to show the world what we the people with Brain Injuries and Disabilities are capable of and this is a message to everyone everywhere. STOP DUMPING YOUR PROBLEMS ON US THE SURVIVORS BECAUSE NOW IS OUR TIME TO SHINE!!!!!!

Since I work and interact with a lot people with TBI survivors I have met many kinds of people who feel life has been so hard and rugged on them that they just want to give up, yet on the other hand I have met others that are struggling to take their next breath and can still smile and that’s because every single TBI is different.
A chip on your Shoulder
Stop the discrimination
Empowerment, Justice, inclusion
Loving our differences
Pain and panic
Love and peace
Open floor-open mic
I am hoping that even if you have a chip on your shoulder that tonight we will all come together on the Brain Injury Radio Network, TBISN, the Brain Injury Association of America and start a dialog to consider our options to help us all come together as the United voce for making the biggest difference in history to create a real power house team of survivors and teams of people willing to show up and be counted and forever change the history of Brain Injury peer support and advocacy forever 2015 truly will be a great year of change if we all come together!!!!
Laughing & Smiling Through the Pain - Dream Catchers Les Paul
Really Mr. Morgan you can say learn how to laugh and smiling through the pain how dare you!!!
Well I have been fighting a severe Migraine for 2 Days and I have had to struggle just to get out of bed and go to work but I did! The difference is I decided to fight the pain with smile and laughter and to be surrounded by good people who are going through the struggle and the pain and smile anyway.
I am going to challenge everyone who comes to Dream Catchers Tonight to take part in a discussion about what all of us can do to fight the battle to overcome pain and finding ways to cope and help one another.
Sometimes even when it hurts we still need to strive forward and make a difference! That’s when you truly find out who you are and begin to fight for the life that you have always Dreamed of A life everlasting and filled with encouragement hope and the willingness to fight for your life again and that’s when we team up and work together to help change lives one person at a time!!!
I want to first pay homage honor to our great military forces for which without them I truly believe our World would be in chaos and there would be no USA to fight for!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for all you have done, all that you have given and all the lives that were lost in protection of our freedoms!!!!!
You know we the people with disabilities tend to have a major hang up!! Well I’m a person with a brain injury or I’m a person with down’s syndrome or I’m a person with this or that and in the mean time it’s as if we forget we are the human species with likes, Loves, Pains, and heart aches and that no matter what our ABILITY we tend to lock ourselves into the title of what ever happened to us and to HELL with everyone else!
I hate that picture and want to rip it down and set it on fire because people with disabilities whatever label we wear tend to isolate and congregate in the narrow scope of their label! ARE YOU AND I JUST A LABEL? I am going to say no!!!
Yes I am a multiple Brain Injury, Aneurism, and AVM survivor but I choose to stand on the promise that the hope of Tomorrow and the reality of Today will bring us together in a powerful and bold new way. So Unity and inclusion for all people with dis/ABILITIES is my Dream Catchers Dream much like Martin Luther King said it during the Civil Rights movement!
Make Inclusion is no Illusion in 2014 and beyond
Uniting disenfranchised survivors
Make it real
Crossing the isle
Living your dreams and forgetting the pain and heart ache

Now it' your turn!
Tonight is going to be about the real life heart to heart struggles that survivors are going through around the World. Because I work for an Independent Living Center which is a civil rights organization run bye and for people with disabilities I sit in a unique position to offer peer Support and Advocacy as both a survivor and as a peer support specialist with a disability who aqlso lives the struggle so I need support as well!!!
Stop thinking of disability as a loss but instead a way to learn and discover new and positive traits about yourself. If you don’t know it yet you the survivor offer the best recovery tools available when you dare to make a difference and start fighting all of the negative self-talk and get motivated to live a bold new life without limits and take back your destiny.
Special Note. I may play a prerecorded show for the 1st 45 minutes or more tonight due to my own personal struggles that I am going through right now but once I finish and I hope to do so early I will come on live and we will do a live call in show!
Are you tired and weary and feeling downright frustrated, angry, and fed up with the DIS in Disability
