YOUR HEALTH - Be informed. TONIGHT HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH IMAN HEARTANDSOUL

    in Lifestyle

IMAN STATED THAT SHE has a rare neurological disease called Chiari Malformation. It  is a condition in which brain tissue (part of the cerebellum, the part the of the brain that controls coordination and muscle movement, to protrude into the space normally occupied by the spinal cord) resulting in the brain becoming to large for the skull. It can cause non-communicating hydrocephalus (water on the brain) due to obstruction of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).  It can cause severe and debilitating headaches, chronic  fatigue, loss of vision, ringing in ears, muscle weakness in the head and face, difficulty swallowing, dizziness, nausea, impaired coordination, increased intercranial pressure, rapid heart rate, fainting, excessive thirst, sleep apnea, sleep disorders,  and, in severe cases, paralysis and death. There is no cure.

King Uno - Launch of ten city world tour with host Niccole

    in Entertainment

King Uno launches his 10 city tour & Niccole discusses her condition

    What are Chiari malformations?

Chiari malformations (CMs) are structural defects in the cerebellum, the part of the brain that controls balance. Normally the cerebellum and parts of the brain stem sit in an indented space at the lower rear of the skull, above the foramen magnum (a funnel-like opening to the spinal canal). When part of the cerebellum is located below the foramen magnum, it is called a Chiari malformation.

CMs may develop when the bony space is smaller than normal, causing the cerebellum and brain stem to be pushed downward into the foramen magnum and into the upper spinal canal. The resulting pressure on the cerebellum and brain stem may affect functions controlled by these areas and block the flow of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF)— the clear liquid that surrounds and cushions the brain and spinal cord—to and from the brain.

(WUN) Love Radio: Idiocratic Intracranial Hypertension

    in Radio

Intracranial hypertension literally means that the pressure of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) within the skull is too high. “Intracranial” means “within the skull.” “Hypertension” means “high fluid pressure.” To understand how this happens, it’s helpful to look at the basic anatomy of the brain and skull, as well as the process in which cerebrospinal fluid is created and absorbed.
Cerebrospinal fluid is one of three major components inside the skull; the other two are the blood supply that the brain requires to function and the brain itself. Under normal circumstances, these components work together in a delicate balance. A pressure and volume relationship exists between CSF, the brain and the vasculature. But since the skull is made of bone and cannot expand, an increase in the volume of any one component is at the expense of the other two components. For example, if the brain swells and becomes enlarged, it simultaneously compresses blood vessels, causing the sub-arachnoid space to fill with more spinal fluid. This results in an increase in intracranial pressure, as well as a decrease in blood flow

Discovering True Freedom featuring Brent Henderson

    in Dads and Family

Join host Richard Jordan in an in-depth interview with Brent Henderson of Hunting Truth on the sportsmen's role in following the biblical command to make disciples. Understanding one's true identity in Christ begins the process of discovering God's Spirit within and the freedoms that are found in following the One true leader, Jesus Christ! Such freedom comes when we understand God's declaration of our identity rather than following man's wisdom.
Brent is an avid sportsman, family man and serves as a CSF Master Sportsman keynote speaker at Sportsmen's Banquets across the nation. As a previous speaker at CSF's Alaska Wilderness Missions project Brent speaks directly to men and thier sons (daughters) in terms using illustrations from his many outdoors adventures.
