Then the sons of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord and served the Baals, and they forsook the Lord, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods from among the gods of the peoples who were around them, and bowed themselves down to them; thus they provoked the Lord to anger. So they forsook the Lord and served Baal and the Ashtaroth. The anger of the Lord burned against Israel, and He gave them into the hands of plunderers who plundered them; and He sold them into the hands of their enemies around them, so that they could no longer stand before their enemies. Wherever they went, the hand of the Lord was against them for evil, as the Lord had spoken and as the Lord had sworn to them, so that they were severely distressed. Then the Lord raised up judges who delivered them from the hands of those who plundered them. Yet they did not listen to their judges, for they played the harlot after other gods and bowed themselves down to them. They turned aside quickly from the way in which their fathers had walked in obeying the commandments of the Lord; they did not do as their fathers. When the Lord raised up judges for them, the Lord was with the judge and delivered them from the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for the Lord was moved to pity by their groaning because of those who oppressed and afflicted them. But it came about when the judge died, that they would turn back and act more corruptly than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them and bow down to them; they did not abandon their practices or their stubborn ways. So the anger of the Lord burned against Israel, and He said, “Because this nation has transgressed My covenant which I commanded their fathers and has not listened to My voice, I also will no longer drive out before them any of the nations which Joshua left when he died, in order to test Israel by them, whether they will keep the way of the...
This chapter gives as the history of Jephthah, another of Israel's judges, and numbered among the worthies of the Old Testament, that by faith did great things (Heb. 11:32), though he had not such an extraordinary call as the rest there mentioned had. Here we have, I. The disadvantages of his origin (v. 1-3). II. The Gileadites' choice of him to be commander-in-chief against the Ammonites, and the terms he made with them (v. 4-11). III. His treaty with the king of Ammon about the rights of the two nations, that the matter might be determined, if possible, without bloodshed (v. 12-28). IV. His war with the Ammonites, which he enters upon with a solemn vow (v. 29-31), prosecutes with bravery (v. 32), and ends with a glorious victory (v. 33). V. The straits he was brought into at his return to his own house by the vow he had made (v. 34-40). - Matthew Henry Commentary

Today we also continue our bible study in the book of Judges, chapter 10. We will look at the two leaders Tola and Jair, who led Israel in peace and after God. Then we'll see how Israel, once again, followed after false gods. What can we learn? Join us for discussion in the chatroom.

Today we're going to pick up in our bible study in Judges chapter 8 and look at two kings from Midian, as well as discuss some of the breaking news of the day, including the fiasco in Ferguson.
We'll also discuss a little bit more about the liberal mainstream media not covering the Terry Bean gay rapist story. So far, Fox News and The Blaze, have failed to report on the homosexual Human Rights Campaign founder being arrested for underage sex with a 15 year old. The question is why?

In this show we pick up in our study at Judges 9:26 and will finish the chapter. This is a very interesting chapter because we see more about Abimelech and his victories and then we see his cowardly death. We also see the people follow after him, instead of the Lord and we see the worship of false idols.

When we serious look at things today, it was told to us in Judges 2:6-15. For those of us that have by pass this please go back to see what the Lord has shared. So I’m going to address the subject of passing on the baton from one generation to the next. I really want to sound a warning to each and every one of us that, even if we are like Joshua and his generation, who knew the Lord and experienced His power, this is no guarantee that our children and the next generation will follow in our footsteps. Let me be as open as I can each of us play a significant role in helping to pass on the baton to the next generation with great care, because the race could easily be lost if we fumble the baton. Those of you that are parent I want to give practical instruction to, as well as to others who join in this task of help raising this generation, and let me be mindful and show in detail on how to pass on the baton of faith to the next generation because its very important that they understand its a might win the race. Join us and share this lesson: "Passing The Baton To The Next Generation" also visit us at www.uptopministries.org and continue to send in your requests there
Today we're back live with our Monday Bible study in the book of Judges and we'll also look at some of the news headlines of the day.
Join us in the book of Judges chapter 6 and let's discuss Gideon's fleece. Most people think that following Gideon's example is a good one, but the reality is that his fleece actually showed his lack of faith and not trusting in God.
We're also going to look at headlines. Visit http://www.biblenewsradio.com for more information.
Last week when we left off in our bible study, we ended on chapter 4 of Judges. Today we will look at the Song of Deborah in chapter 5 of Judges.
We will see the blessing of God for the deliverance He brings through the leaders of Israel, we will see a recounting of all God has done for Israel in times past, and remember the victory the Lord brings.
Today we will study the 6th chapter of Judges and see the call of Gideon. This is the Gideon that The Gideons International is named after.
