ArtFairCalendar.com has just finished its 2nd annual "America's Best Art Fairs" survey and we announce the winners. This is the only national online survey of the country's juried art fairs and craft shows, designed to reward the festivals that create opportunities connecting artists and communities to celebrate the arts.
We asked our mailing list of over 50,000 art fair patrons what was the best art fair in the country and had an amazing nationwide response. Nearly 90% of the respondents completed the lengthy 20 question survey and the answers were both expected and intriguing.
Not surprisingly: people love to attend art fairs and many travel long distances to do so. The overall conclusion is: Art is Alive and Well in America and attendance at the nation's shows is proof of that.

Jesus points out the significance of the gathering of "two or more" believers and the power of corporate agreement and corporate unity. Whatever things the two or more agree on in prayer, it shall be done for them AND His presence is in the midst of them.
King David understood the power of corporate worship. He strategically implemented 4000 Levite priests to sing and play instruments before the Lord day and night, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The priests fervently worshipped and adored the Lord with all their strength and might which brought in the presence and the glory of God.
Before Jesus ascended into heaven, His last instruction to the disciples was to wait for the Promise of the Father and be baptized in the Holy Spirit. What happened next was a supernatural move of God. As the disciples continued to corporately pray together, in one accord--history was made. A mighty, rushing wind swept across the upper room, tongues of fire sat upon each of them, they all spoke in unknown tongues and they started boldly preaching to the crowds in Jerusalem.
Corporate prayer and corporate worship, where two or more are gathered together abandoning their earthly desires, in unity and one accord is so very powerful. Come together with one another corporately in an expectation and with a heart yearning and longing for His presence and your life will be forever changed for eternity.

Larry Berman has a long career in photography, including being the staff photographer for the NY Nets. He has been exhibiting at art fairs for over 30 years and was one of the first to recognize the importance of digital imagery in the art fair business and was responsible for the ZAPP image format which displays all jury images the same size. He has built a career improving jury images for artists and/or photographing their artwork. He has held seminars on jury images and does consulting with artists and art fairs.
Bruce Baker began selling his jewelry at retail and wholesale shows in the 1980's. Taking what he learned there he began consulting full time in 2005 sharing his retailing and business experience with a variety of groups ranging from Artists, Main Street Merchants, to Farm Market vendors, conducting over 600 marketing and production related workshops in the past two decades. He leads training sessions helping artists be more productive and competitive in the international marketplace.
Between the two you'll have all the answers and there is only one thing left for you to do: make great art. Only you can do that part.

She is fellow Arts and Healing artist and currently she is in our Art 4 All People exhibiton, MUSE: The Art of Transformation and Healing at the Institute for Art and Healing at Commonweal in Bolinas. A local Bolinas resident, Carol Duchamp began her practice as a painter in 1985 under the watercolor mentorship of artist Jackie Kirk, and began exhibiting her paintings in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1993.
Indeterminacy and chance play a role, as does the element of water. Carol paints on pre-soaked 300-lb Arches watercolor paper. Her process takes place in the unplanned moment. This is both the beauty and the challenge. If the spirit is clear at the time of painting, access to intuitive resources becomes easier. If the mind is cluttered, the level of concentration is diminished and the result put at risk.
Carol is passionate about the healing powers of creativity, and imagination as essential creative principle. She taught Healing Art Transition courses at UC Santa Cruz Extension and enjoys helping others nurture their inner artist. She studied Transformative Arts at JFKU in Berkeley. She is founder and director of Art Trek, a small company that orchestrates travel study art classes to exotic such as France, French Polynesia, Italy, the American Southwest and Bali & Java, Indonesia. Carol is also a writer whose novella Garlic and Roses is nearing completion.

As a housewife, Carole Dean, took a $20 bill and turned it into a $50 million a year industry when she coined the phrase “short ends” and began buying and selling film left over from production. She was instrumental in the birth of the Hollywood independent film community which took advantage of her discounted raw stock. In 1992, Carole created the Roy W. Dean Grant which has provided filmmakers with millions of dollars in goods and services and played a crucial role in establishing the careers of our most important documentary filmmakers.
Carole is the author of The Art of Film Funding: Alternative Financing Concepts, now in its second edition, and The Art of Manifesting: Creating Your Future. She is the executive producer for Women Behind the Camera, BAM 6.6, American Chain Gang and Step Away From the Stone. Carole is the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award 2012 from the Women's International Film & Television Showcase (TheWIFTS), and is also a partner with Indiegogo raising over a half million dollars with filmmakers.
