    The Eternality of Hell

    in Christianity

“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

    (Matthew 25:41 ESV)

And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
    (Matthew 25:46 ESV)

In this post modern world there are many people who have surpressed the truth of hell and no longer acknowledge or believe there is such a place.  For them the idea of a place of eternal punishment is to harsh and cruel - 'no one deserves to be punished eternally for only a life of sin' is what many would say.  Sadly, there are many who call themselves "Christians" who would hold to the same view.  Many of these individuals would even make a case for this from Scripture - GOD'S Word - the Bible.  If, you who believe and know there is a Hell, and were approached by a person (Believer or non-believer) who declared there was no such place, could you from the Scriptures show with clarity this important doctrine?  This episod will hopefully be a resource for that very purpose.

During this broadcast we will examine the Scriptures to see what GOD says in HIS Word about this place, the Lake of Fire and Brimstone.  We will endevor to examine, from the other perspective, why they believe there is no hell - no place of eternal punishment.  Then we will compare both to see how close or far apart they are.  It is with the greatest care and love we first discuss this topic, because from this doctrine and its reality, comes the glorious good news of JESUS CHRIST and what HE has accomplished by HIS life, death on the cross, burial, and resuurection...and now HIS immeniant return.

Please join us for this discussion and feel free to call in with questions or join in the chat room.

We look forward to seeing Tuesday the 9th at 7:30pm EST

Alister Konrath's 1/2 Hour of Hell (from the RV)

    in Sports

In the legendary words of Vince Lombardi, "What the hell is going on out there?" Clinton Portis is broke (wha?).. Robert Nkemdiche smoked pot (GASP!).. Utah pulls the "El dublé" (one in the battle of the Mormons!).. Everybody is calling out Connor McGregor (well, at two people are). And, apparently, Donald Trump is a bigot. That last one really isn't a shocker, and neither is the first, I guess, so there's that. Either way, between football, UFC, and some bad politics, I should have more than enough fodder to cover a half hour.

1/2 Hour of Hell (from the RV)

    in Sports

CANELO/COTTO!!! I recap the fight, and put a little twist on it. It's NFL Week 11, and it seems to be moving week. Vikings look to take control of NFC North when the Packers come to town. Can the Vikings continue their winning streak, or do the Pack get off the snide? Should be a good one. Patriots look to remain perfect Monday night against the Bills. Last time these two met was week 2, at Buffalo, and the Pats whooped that ass. Do the Bills have the season's biggest upset, or do the Pats send Rex home crying like usual? Also, Indytries to get things moving, and stay in first (with the Jags? nipping at the heals) against the Falcons in the ATL. Should be a high scoring affair, since both their D's suck. And Cincy goes to Arizona on Monday night. Arizona, aside from the Pats, may be the NFL's next best team. And after the Bengals embarrassing loss to the Texans last week, they'll be sure to test the Cards.  Tune in, or tune out!!

Alister Konrath's 1/2 Hour of Hell (from the RV)

    in Sports

The Vikings (8-4) travel to Arizona (10-2) looking to put their 38-7 beatdown at the hands of the Seahawks in the rear-view. Only problem is the Cardinals might be better than the Seahawks. With that said, it's Thursday, and Thursday night games always seem to be a little wierd, so even with the injuries mounting, the Vikes still have a chance in this one. They really have nothing to lose with everybody and their mother picking the Cardinals tonight, so look for a spirited effort from the Purple. The Cardinals are just trying to keep in the hunt for home-field advantage, but it may be closer than people think. Tune in our get tuned out.

How To Hold On To Your Faith When All Hell Breaks Loose!

    in Christianity

It is no secret that today we are living during a time of unrest, racial injustice, war, police brutality, social and economic inequalities, a rise in the suicide rate and the list goes on and on. We are challenged daily to pray, believe that things will get better and hold on to our faith. Many rely on God to make sense of the chaos while others are on the verge of giving up hope. Life is a journey with ups and downs, hills and valleys, success and disappointments.

On February 13, 2016 join ASWIFTT RADIO host Brenda Johnson Padgitt as she talks with Pastor Adrian Simmons about how to hold on to your faith when all hell breaks loose. The discussion will encourage and offer practical suggestions while coming from scripture. There will be times when life gets hard and our circumstances are magnified. The enemy has a way of making things seem more drastic than they really are. The famous acronym FEAR means False Evidence Appearing REAL is the best example that demonstrates how Satan attempts to disturb and frustrate us. The enemy wants us to believe temporary circumstances are permanent. He ultimately wants us to suffer despair and lose all hope.

Pastor Simmons is an ASWIFTT RADIO contributor. His weekly program “Bible Teachings by Pastor Adrian Simmons” airs on ASWIFTT RADIO on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1 pm CST and 11 am PST. He is the pastor of Way of Grace Bible Church in Rancho Cordova, CA. He has been a bible teacher for over 11 years. In the past he taught Theology at the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center, SAC County Jail Ministry, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Simmons currently preaches at Folsom Prison which is a men’s facility and New Folsom Prison Women’s facility. Alister Konrath's 1/2 Hour of Hell (from the RV)

    in Sports

Well that was anti-climatic, except for Iowa/Mich. St., of course. Iowa has got to be feeling like Detroit after last night's heart-breaker. Geez! Oh, and East Ed McCaffery's kid is L.E.G.I.T.

NFL Week13! Aaron Rodgers throws the highest pass ever recorded at NASA.. and it's caught for a crazy, improbable, hail mary finish against the lowly Motor City Kitties.. What could have been a killer loss for the Pack turns into a possible chance for a first place tie with the Vikings, depending how the Vikes do against Seatlle. Speaking of which, Seahawks@Vikings is by far the best game of the week. Seahawks seem to be turning things around. Russell Wilson has been incredible the last two weeks, and Thomas Rawls is running better than Marshawn before he got hurt. And their D is back to being dominant. They face a Vikings team fresh of a win against the reeling Falcons. It was an important win for the Vikes, who lost at home the week before to the Pack. A couple injuries may have a negative effect for the Vikes to control Seattle's run game, but we shall see. Adrian Peterson, btw, is only 50 yards of his MVP season from '12. Couple other decent games include NYJ v NYG, and Houston (who may be the hottest team in the league) vs a dangerous-at-home Buffalo team. Tune in, or get tuned out!

1/2 Hour of Hell (from the RV)

    in Sports

After 2 days on the road, going from Mpls to L.A., and writing this from Culver City, my head's not all there. But.. there's too many of you who hate the show (see last week's show), so I'm doing it, and the motivation for it is palpable. NFL Week 9! It's the start of the 2nd half of the season, and the storylines are thick. Never before have there been this many teams undefeated at the midway point, so the question is obviously who has the nugs to keep it going? Honestly, I could care less who does, just as long as somebody does, so Mercury Morris can finally suck it. Patriots are the logical choice.. the Bengals are the sexy pick.. The Panthers may have the best shot.. And the Broncos D is now being looked at as one of the best ever.. Which one powers on, and which one fails epically? Let's talk about it (and your feelings)..
