    Understanding the Value of Content Curation in Your Marketing Strategy

    Content curation is the process of discovering, gathering, and presenting content surrounding a specific topic digitally. Don't confuse it with content creation, but rather compiling relevant content from different resources and delivering it in an organized and easily understandable format.


    Content curation can be presented in different formats including RSS feeds, blog links, social media newsfeeds and online news mashups or digital magazines. We all know that the internet is abounding with content, so much so that it can often be difficult to keep up so many of us depends on successful content curation. Good content curation will include only the best and most relevant information because it helps a user sift through the information overload that they are faced with on a daily basis.


    So how can you use content curation in your marketing?


    Content curation and aggregation are causing major changes to the publishing industry and your business can take advantage of that. Think of content curation as a way to supplement, complement and expand your original content. By compiling the best information out there around your specific industry and creating a news hub you can become the go-to expert that people come back to for the most up-to-date information. Content curation also has an added benefit which is helping you with your own search engine marketing.

    A New Approach to Curation Marketing

    Publicate.it is my favourite  new curation tool right now. Developed by Chris Bradley, it's just finished a lengthy beta and is fully available with both free and paid versions. 

    Do check it out at Publicate.it after you've heard Chris discuss the multiple ways it can be used as part of your marketing mix. 

    I particularly like the MailChimp integration; however, it's real strength lies in the way it can be used for lead generation. Too much curation work right now seems to be about blasting out quality links via social channels to build your repuation as a thought-leader. Publicate enables you to create smoother channels that feed directly into your lead generation pipeline.

    Although I had reservations about the product at beta level, it's now extremely exciting.

    Being Content In Jesus Christ

    If we are content, we are satisfied, not wanting more and not wanting less. Paul, the Apostle, talks about learning to be content in all situations. In Philippians 4:11 it says, ... for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty.......... So Paul through his life and its trials, learned how to be content in all situations. I would say that his faith grew. His confidence in his Savior took away his doubts, took away his fears because he knew his Savior Jesus loved him , provided for him and empowered him to proclaim the Gospel and do the Lord's will. So my question to you is....... Are you content in Jesus ? Do you feel Jesus loves you, provides for you and empowers you as you live your life walking with Jesus ?
