Join us today on Women Leading the Way Radio as Barbara Eldridge, your host of Trend Setting Women, interviews Paulette Ensign, President & Owner of Tips Products International.
Paulette Ensign has been setting trends throughout her life. She is the Founder and Owner of Tips Products International, and was clueless that she’d sell over a million copies of her 16-page tips booklet, 110 Ideas for Organizing Your Business Life, when writing it in 1991. Or that she’d have it in four languages and various formats without spending a penny on advertising. Her can-do attitude supported those results. She’s made a handsome living and cross-country move from New York to San Diego recycling the same 3500 words.
Between teaching strings and developing www.tipsbooklets.com, Paulette actively participated in the then-emerging Professional Organizing industry. She owned an organizing company, was a major contributor of time and talent to the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), and consistently held leadership roles including national president.
Paulette added co-authored tips booklets to products and services she sells, providing instant products and instant marketing tools to supplement or substitute for a solo-authored booklet.
With over forty years’ experience serving small businesses, corporations, and professional associations in industries worldwide, she and her cat live a mile from the San Diego beach where it doesn’t snow, keeping them both young at heart.

Join us today on Women Leading the Way Radio as Shawn Mari Turi, your host of Business is Personal (aka: what you do and why you do it... REALLY MATTERS!), interviews Caroline Mankey, Lawyer & Partner of Cypress, LLP.
“Having it All” (in life + career) is certainly a subjective idea. When it comes up in conversation, it’s clear… ‘Who’s a fan and who’s a critic’. Whatever side of the conversation you land on, there’s no doubt, women are talking about it, being more honest and unapologetic and sharing what they truly want to have, do and experience and ‘this’ is a conversation you’re going to want to be part of.
Caroline will be sharing her ideas and practices for what ‘having it all’ means to her. She will also talk about how she maintains and even successfully nurtures her own identity and autonomy, while working for a firm and partnership, as well as how she makes herself and her firm known in an undeniably competitive and crowded industry. The conversation promises to be lively, authentic and radically honest and Shawn Marie will ask Caroline… “Can women really have it all?”…. “What does she think it takes to land big clients? …. and of course …. “Does ‘Business IS Personal’ resonate with her and if so…. why?”

Wage and hour workplace issues have been prevalent for many years, and still plague employers and employees today. Who is exempt? Who is non-exempt? When is paying overtime a requirement? Large employers find ways to handle the issues. Small and mid-sized companies have no safe harbor as there is no "small employer exemption" to most state or federal wage and hour laws. Our guest today works primarily with small-mid sized businesses, and will share with us how wage and hour apply to them.
Host and Leader Development Specialist, Allison McClintick, talks about empathy-it's positive impact on leadership and influence and the unfortunate consequences of when empathy is taken too far.
