    Susan Brender is a creative multimedia and television producer and communications professional. Her diversified experience includes marketing for the arts, producing political, entertainment and business programs. As a TV producer, she has worked for CNBC, MSNBC and WBIS (the Wall Street Journal Report) with well-known entertainers, such as Charles Grodin, Phil Donahue and many others.
    Susan’s love and passion for the arts have brought her into the dance and nonprofit world where she spins her skills as a communications specialist to bring dance/movement, music and the performing arts to a variety of constituents. Susan is currently a programming and communications consultant for many organizations nationwide, developing innovative educational arts and wellness programs for youth and adults.

    Masterclass:Nancy Beiman/Animation Director/Character Designer

    NANCY BEIMAN was a member of the first graduating Character Animation class at the California Institute of the Arts in 1979. Since then she has worked as an animator, director, character designer, storyboard artist, illustrator, and producer in feature films, television, commercials, and game animation.  She has worked for the Walt Disney, Warner Brothers, Gerhard Hahn, Amblimation, and Greg Ford studios and cofounded Caged Beagle productions with partner Dean Yeagle.  She is the author of two books:  PREPARE TO BOARD! Creating Story and Characters for Animated Features and Shorts (Elsevier, 2012) and ANIMATED PERFORMANCE: bringing imaginary animal, human and fantasy characters to life. (Bloomsbury Press, 2015).  She has taught animation masterclasses in Colorado, Singapore, and Taiwan. Nancy teaches second year Storyboard classes and mentors senior student projects in the BA Animation Program at Sheridan College, Oakville, Canada. A few of her students will also we part of the discussion.     Director/Producer Lateefa Mosley

    Lateefa is a certified Producer and part owner of Blake Vision Entertainment. She is charismatic and inquisitive. She received an“Academy of the Arts” Diploma from high school and “Associate’s in Theatre Arts” at Northampton Community College in Allentown, Pa. After graduation, she attended an Apprenticeship at Touchstone Theatre in Bethlehem, PA for eighteen months. This is where she gained another perspective for art, and a sound foundation on the running of a theatre company. Lateefa wore many hats at Touchstone. She was an administrator, crewmember, marketing representative, and took on other delegated responsibilities. Her experience at Touchstone left her with many fond memories that she enjoys to remember. One of her greatest achievement was a One-Woman-Show production entitled “A Woman’s Journey”.  Which she wrote, designed, directed and performed in this production. This One-Woman Show gave her a greater appreciation for art. As a result she attended HB Studios in New York and worked with local production companies in Allentown, New York, Philadelphia and Georgia. Lateefa brings over 20 years experience in the entertainment field.  She is well known as the creator and executive producer of “ Monologue City” a Monologue Competition that is taking Georgia by storm. Her experience expands over many years and is both diverse and extensive. She is well exceptional as a Director, Producer, Production Coordinator and more. She is incredible lighting technician with competent in sound, film, camera, editing, and more. She offers a highly professional attitude, excellent work habits, and a good work history that is respected by both past and present colleagues. Her motto is “Dream, Believe and Achieve”

    Aleksander Bach is a son of a polish photographer and emigrated with his parents from
    Poland to Germany in the early 80’s where he is still based today.As alumni of Institute for Music and Media in Düsseldorf he graduated with a degree in A/V Engineering and a diploma in classical piano, utilizing his dual skillset in his early career as a director. It led to multiple opportunities in Asia doing music videos and music documentaries before venturing into advertising after his Postgraduate Studies at acclaimed film academy at Baden-Württemberg / Ludwigsburg. His work is visual and sensorial with a unique language, taking his background in music and engineering, blending it with character-driven elements that showcase excellent storytelling. This has resulted in working with major clients like RWE, Mercedes-Benz, Nike, Nivea and Red Cross, winning multiple awards including Young Director Award in Cannes 2008 and 2009, New York Festival Gold Award in 2010 and Art Directors Club Awards in both 2010 and 2011.
