Your environment goes a very long way in developing the way you communicate. Whether or not you react to a situation with violence or reason your environment goes a long way in determining the way respond. Within black culture we are raised to be strong, to have thick skin, & to be emotionless. These are ideal qualities when dealing with the modern urban climate. But, the downside of this can lead to the development of a defiant personality, a fear of progression & many things characteristics that are detrimental to our growth. These traits have been passed down for generations & have become some of the most difficult topics for us to expressing within our community. This week we will talk the mental shackles that are placed on many of us & it's impact on the way we communicate.
Better communication eliminates a world of problems. If we knew how to talk to our wives, husbands, children, employees or employers we might not have ended up in the bad situation that we were in. Communication is a two way street and it includes listening and not thinking about your rebuttual. This will be an on going workshop for the next few weeks so please inform someone about it and listen in. your feedback is very imnportant to me. Thank you and remember "Change Starts With You.
in The Bible
America is in deep trouble these days by way of the mouth. Fearmongering is the tool of choice in America today. Fearmongering via those with the most money is the way they are able to divide and conquer the masses. There is constant negative talk all over this land. Media aint nothing if it aint negative. Media actually lie about incidents in their broadcast. Because of social networking we now have verifiable proof of media lies. Politicians in campaigns lie not about the color of the hair, but about people and issues. Courts are run by judges, lawyers, prosecutors who say whatever they need and want to say to convince jurors of their point of view, be it a lie or truth. Individuals lie on others based on the desire of the liar and based on who is most likely to be believed. Law enforcement officers kill and lie about the incident, and their lies even when evidence proves otherwise are accepted as truth in the line of duty.
