Jason is the Director of Theatre and Lead Teacher for Arts, Media and Entertainment at James Monroe High School in North Hills, a suburb of Los Angeles. With productions that include, Oedipus the King, Wiley and the Hairy Man, Zombie Prom and School House Rock Live! along with on campus festivals that include Comedia Del Arte, Shakespeare and traditional Folkloric dance, his students have been selected by the American High School Theatre Festival as one of only 40 schools from North America to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe in Scotland this August, 2015. While his students are severely economically disadvantaged and labeled "at risk" for a myriad of reasons, they have honed their energies into theatre arts and created for themselves the opportunity of a lifetime in their performance of Romeo y Julieta at this year's Edinburgh Fringe.
Romeo y Julieta is a bi-lingual Romeo and Juliet translated by the students. Using Shakespeare's language and spoken in Original, Elizabethan Pronunciation along with colloquial Spanish, Monroe Theatre tells the story of "star crossed lovers" from rival Hispanic families living in San Fernando, CA.
This is not West Side Story. Romeo y Julieta touches on the, very real, inner-racial tension within the Hispanic community my students deal with daily.
In leau of the many tragedies with comedians, we wanted to sit back with special guest Comedian Pamela Greene aka RatedPG and the things that go on behind the scenes as a comedian and a woman. Sit back during the first half as we speak with Pamela about her mentor (Comedian Jimmy Mack), life as a writer and comedia, transformation, and growth.
Second Half Who's to Blame Men or Women?
At some point, folks should be tired of complaining about the same problem and accusing specific genders for their problems. People what to change but how can we build when folks are used to using legos and pickup sticks?
Do men really want skinny broads or fat broads?!?
If they want healthy women, how long must it take her to get to that point? In her process should she not use enhancers? What would you suggest she use minus girdles and spanks?
Is there a timeframe that is allowed for her to get fit since spanks and girdles are used?
What do men really want besides confusing the hell out of females?
Females follow the mans lead. Right now men see an enflux of the term "Real Man" because honestly women do not see leaders. All that is being shown is a group of whining babies confusing women.
Decide on what you all want and a female will follow your lead. Thus far the result stems from a reflection of what all men desire... Confusion...
