Purpose for Women-United Nations in Columbus

    in Women

SPECIAL EDITION: Purpose for Women focuses on United Nations in Columbus

    Guests: Melissa Lenz & Chasity

    Our mission statement:

The United Nations Association of Columbus is committed to educating, inspiring, and mobilizing Ohioans to support the vital work of the United Nations, for we believe that the UN offers the best means to achieving peace and security for all humans. We practice this mission through several programs. We strive to make a difference through Model UN programs, where students can actively engage in the international system, learn and experience the UN system, and develop valuable leadership skills. We aim to think globally and act locally by organizing events that highlight the relevance of the UN system in Ohio as well as the key role that Ohio plays in that system as well. We advocate for strong U.S. leadership in the UN so that the international organization can operate to its fullest potential.  We operate under the mantra “More Than Just Me,” for we understand that our purpose is about more than just the success of our singular organization but about the network of supporters who will make a positive impact on this world. We also understand that it will take more than just us to accomplish the lofty goals of the UN, so we collaborate with several Columbus organizations to make our vision a reality.

Let's call for the transmutation of all that opposes Columbus

    in Spirituality

Christopher Columbus was a past life of the ascended master Saint Germain. Saint Germain is the hierarch of the Aquarian Age and the master in heaven who has sponsored the violet flame. Saint Germain is also the spiritual sponsor of the United States of America. In recent years, there has been a lot of negativity generated towards Columbus. People want to make him the scapegoat for all of the terrible things that happened to the indigenous people. These horrible records must be transmuted, along with the manipulated hatred of Columbus and Saint Germain. And so let us call for the healing of this entire situation, real and contrived, through the violet flame.

Columbus Sailed The Ocean Blue But He Didn't Discover Anything

    in News

Tonight we ask: with so much evidence pointing to Columbus not being the original discoverer of America —especially the fact that there were already native inhabitants on the continent— should it still be a celebrated holiday? City officials in Seattle don't think so and just recently renamed Columbus day to Indigenous People's Day.

Our co-host Sharis is back from vacation and will join us as well as fellow Rebelde Rodrigo Sanchez-Chavarria. Like always, we want to hear what you have to say on this topic so call in and be part of the show! (347) 308-8633.

    COLUMBUS WHO?

    in History

Christopher Columbus, whose real name is Cristobol Colon, of course did not discover America in 1492. In fact, he never claimed to have done so; white historians did it for him. Indigenous people and Afrikans were already living in the western hemisphere, thousands of years before his expedition.
Colon never stepped foot on the American mainland. He landed in the Caribbean islands.
Upon landing there, he received reports of Afrikans having visited there before Colon's voyages.
