Dr. Maia Coleman King is a licensed clinical psychologist who treats patients for individual, group and couples therapy. As a partner at PGW, Dr. Coleman King balances the roles of clinician, supervisor and Assistant Clinical Psychology Professor for The George Washington University. Dr. Coleman King specializes in treating women struggling with symptoms of depression and anxiety, as well as couples seeking assistance in building communication skills, overcoming differences, and making decisions that are more satisfying. In addition, she has over ten years of experience in the psychological assessment of children, adults and forensic populations.
Dr. Coleman King earned her Ph.D. at Howard University in Clinical Psychology in 2004. She is
also a graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor where she earned a Master’s degree in
Developmental Psychology. Dr. Coleman King completed her Internship at the APA-accredited
Howard University Counseling Service Internship Program.
