Loki King discusses issues facing the LGBTQ community. On this week's episode we are going to discuss the social stigma of expressing emotions.
Why is it that men are always told "Boys or men Don't Cry." Why are men seen as weak if they do express their emotions? Why is anger the only emotion that is acceptable for men to have? Yet, when he can no longer keep it bottled up inside, he is ridiculed and amonished.
This same social stigma is also true for the more Tom Boyish or Butch women. Why?
This double standard is not just limited to emotions.
Tune in, offer your insights and lets get to the core of this unrealistic expectation.
