    Atheists in the closet

    in Religion

Being able to be yourself is so very important, but what if you had to hide a part of yourself from those close to you?  What about those atheists who can't be open about their lack of belief because of one reason or another?  Have you ever been in the closet?  Did you find it hard to come out?  What happened?

I'll talk about the only instance I have personally about being in the closet, and why I've chosen to be as out and as open as I can.

Plus your calls.  Let the awesome sauce flow!!

    in Christianity

That's right folks. We have brought back the internet radio broadcast called “My Prayer Closet”. Though shortened to 15 minutes to start, it will be part of our regular broadcast here on the Holy See of Antioch Celtic Cross Radio Network.

My Prayer Closet will be airing every Tuesday Evening at 6:00 PM. It will be a lifting up of prayer requests and notices from you the listener, the community and from around the world. It is intended more so for our Protestant brothers and sisters as well as the general public.

Also, so you are aware, on Thursday Evenings at 6:00 PM, we will be airing a reciting of the Holy Rosary in a weekly prayer vigil which will include one the blessed Mysteries of Faith for our Catholic brothers and sisters and again for the general public.

But don't forget to tune in for the Oblong Table Crew of the Christian Warrior Network every Saturday Evening at 6:00 PM either. It will offer a more universal insight on scripture and topics that can and often do affect individuals everyday. In doing so, it is our hope that you become stronger Christian or at the very least, a better person.

So be sure to tune in every Tuesday evening at 6:00 PM for My Prayer Closet and help us devote this year of ministry to Prayer !

    My Prayer Closet

    in Christianity

For our Protestant brothers and sisters. This is a weekly Pray Vigil to meditate and pray for the needs of others as well as our own intentions.

    My prayer closet is scripture based as far as the gospel of Matthew is concerend. We reference Matthew Chapter 6, Verse 6 - 15. Which states;

6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

So folks, tune in and lets pray together and with a devoted heart, humbled in the sight of God our Father, that he may honor our intentions and efforts.

Loki's Closet: Things change, but can it be done without tragedy?

    in LGBT

Why does it seem that the only time people can unite together and take action to get something done or changed is through a major tragedy?

Are we that self centered, the me, me, me syndrome, that it takes devistation and lives lost to get us to wake up?  To get us to get back to the basic principle of helping each other out, before a simple task turns into shear fear, anger and panic?  Have we as a society become that blind, stupid and insensitive?

This week on "Loki's Closet" Loki will take a look at ten events that changed the LGTBQ community in 2014, he will look beyond the marriage equality to some of the challenges we will face in 2015 as well as looking back at two young lives cut short all because of ignorance, lack of compassion, understanding and just plain ass selfishness.

Tune into The We Resisters Radio Network Sunday night 8:00 pm EST/5:00 pm PST to hear Loki's thoughts.  Your voice, your opinions and insights can be heard by calling in at (347) 857-4397 or by using Skype
