John Georgis, owner and creator of Banjo Billy's Bus Tours, joins us for some tales of haunted real estate in the Boulder and Denver communities.
John’s been with the tour since the beginning, what with being Banjo Billy and all. It was his idea and his hard work that brought us all into this fantastic view of history. To this day he remains the core, the rock, the backbone that Banjo Billy’s Bus Tours is built on.
Banjo Billy offers guided bus tours through the clandestine tales of crime and the legends of lingering souls that litter the streets of Boulder and Denver.During your 90 minute tour, eloquent historians and legend-keepers will share stories of the paranormal and macabre. Local ghost stories – from haunted mansions to unexplained sights and sounds – are a fun way to enjoy the weeks leading up to Halloween.
In 1927, Ms. Campbell moves from one haunted house to another. See both houses. Hear both stories.
Mackey Auditorium is a beautiful building with a dark murder that still haunts from 1966.
The Croke – Patterson Mansion maybe the most haunted place in Colorado. Yep, even better than the Stanley in Estes Park.
Why do some people feel as if there are seemingly-random cold spots on the grounds of Cheeseman park? Could it be because the park used to be a graveyard?
Denver fire station number one has four ghosts and three are friendly.
Learn about these ghost stories – and more – during your tour.

In a culture that encourages and expects BUSY as a constant state of being, many have lost touch with how to STOP and truly rest.... even for a moment. In this episode we'll explore sacred stillness as a concept and delve into how my guest, Sonja Haller is experimenting with her own practice of sacred stillness in her blog project: 52 SABBATHS.
In her words, "I want to feel comfortable in my own skin. I want to feel more peace. I want to feel less anxiety. I’ve always wanted these things and one night I had a dream in which that small, wise voice told me to take a Sabbath. The voice was that of my editor who would blush if I told him I dreamed of him.
I took it as a sign.
Now whether this secular girl can find any of that in her experiment to experience 52 Sabbaths with all the dedication mustered in an overstuffed life remains to be seen. But I’m forecasting that at the very least I will have found a deeper connection with something, someone or myself.
