RTR: The Church Artisans - Ministry or Entertainment?

    in Christianity

There are a lot of different ministries in church today. Mimes, flags, step teams, praise dancers, praise and worship teams, poets, rappers, comedians, drama teams and more. With all of these different ministries going on in church, the question must be asked, are these really ministries or church entertainment? Another question that must be asked is what exactly is ministry? Is it subjective, or is it something concrete? We're not saying that anything is wrong with these things, but can these things be considered ministry, or are they simply entertainment for the church masses? Is it bringing the world into the church, or do they bring glory to God? Join in on the conversation with RTR, this and every Sunday at 10am est. Call 661.449.9951 to listen live!

"Jesus, Tithes, First Fruits, Circumcision and The New Covenant"

    in Religion

What is the "why" for Jesus going to the cross. Why did HE have to die? Yes it was for our sins but the question is why did he have to die ? Were they not already giving tithes of bulls and goats as blood offerings to atone for sins? Were they not already under a priest system that God dwelled in the Most Holy place of the Temple and the high priest went in once a year for atonement? Why did all these traditions need to change? why did Jesus have to go to the cross if this system was working? Why did God make it PARAMOUNT to change the Covenant at the Cross and why is today's church oblivious to the change? Can we worship God they we want to like Cain or must we worship in Spirit and Truth?

     John 4:24

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

     Heb 8:7

For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

Christians and Guns: Sin or not?

    in Religion

Christians and Guns: Sin or not?

Is it sinful for a Believer in Christ to own firearms? Is the right to keep and bear arms a God-given right? Does keeping a firearm for self-defense mean that you don't trust God for your protection? If someone threatens you or your family with grave bodily harm or death, is it sin to use a gun in defense? If you kill in self-defense, is that murder? Does "turn the other cheek" mean you should allow yourself or someone in your family to be gravely injured or killed? "PUT THEM OUT, CUT THEM OFF, CLICK DELETE /BLOCK"

    in Religion

Sometimes it is VERY neccesary to evict specific people from your life BEFORE God will do what you NEED HIM to do in your life.

Background scripture: Mar 5:40 "And they laughed at him. But he put them all outside"

  • RTR:Themes, Firstfruits and Fasting: The Churchified New Year

    in Religion

With the beginning of every new year, many churches do these three things: roll out their new themes or slogans for the year, try to convince you to give a monetary “firstfruits" offering, (mostly at "Watch Night" services), and go on a corporate fast. We intend to examine each of these things to see if there is any validity to them. Are they biblical, or just man made traditions? Where did they originate and is there anything inherently wrong with doing them? Join us this and every Sunday at 10am est on RTR. • "LEAVE THAT BROOK" - That Situation has dried up

    in Religion

As we embark on an exciting journey in 2015, some of us may be weary from all we have come through from 2014, 2013, 2012 heck 1986. In the background text 1 Kings 17:7 Elijah had gotten used to a situation, he had gotten used to settling because he was worn out from everything life had brought his way YET God had more for him to do besides sit at the brook.

1 Kings 17:7 New Living Translation
But after a while the brook dried up, for there was no rainfall anywhere in the land.

Sometimes everything just dries up, what was once feeding you, what was once a good situation or something that "could work for now" had come to an end. What do you do now? Tune in as we discuss how to navigate "Leaving That Brook"

    "THEY MEANT IT FOR EVIL"

    in Religion

As we close out 2014, one of the biggest obstacles we have to leave in the past is "what they did to me". We totally leave God out when we become stuck at "what they did", or "they blocked or prevented this", "I could have done this or had that but they did...." In this final broadcast of 2014 I will share some of my own personal lessons I have learned from "THEY MEANT IT FOR EVIL"

    Scripture reference:

Gensis 50:20 "You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people."

RTR: Generational Curses - Fact Or Fiction?

    in Christianity

If you are constantly experiencing problems and difficulties in your life, is it because of a curse? Is the curse a result of your mother, father, grandparents, or great grandparents being involved in the occult or practicing a particular sin? Does that mean there is a "generational curse" upon your family? If you experience the same issues other family members have, is there a curse on your entire lineage? What is a generational curse? What exactly is the curse you are under, and who put the curse on you? God? Satan? A witch? Is it a generational curse, or is it generational choices? Where is Jesus in the midst of your curse? Does the bible support such a thing as a generational curse? Join RTR this and every Sunday at 10am est. Call 661 449 9951
