    Living in Abundance

    in Christianity

Join Christy Demetrakis and her special guest author, speaker and Life Instructor Dawn Oree Tuesday, June 23rd at 6:30pm EST for "Living in Abundance."

    About Dawn Oree:

Like you, powerful life instructor, speaker, coach and author Dawn Oree has felt the groans that living life without walking in purpose can evoke.  We all silently ask ourselves the same questions.  How can I make things better?  How can I reach the dreams I see for myself?  Is the future I see in my mind really possible for me?  Where do I start?

Dawn’s philosophy of ‘living life fully and loving it immensely is the birthright of every human being on the planet’ has helped her to walk students into the lives they love.  Her philosophy for drilling deep into the wells of her student’s possibility has, at times, made her be referred to as the “Deep Diving Speaker”.  She provokes her students to change from the deepest parts of themselves, shifting core mindsets and eliminating counter-productive thought patterns.  Dawn’s integration of stories, facts and wisdom allow her to set the tone for conversations that connect with her audience intimately.

A gifted Singer, Dancer and Interior Designer, Dawn has a BFA from Wayne State University.  Her career includes nearly 20 years of entrepreneurial experience during which time she has consulted both for-profit and non-profit companies.  Dawn keeps her spiritual grounding by being involved in ministry worship leader, worship dancer and volunteer instructor.

Why does Mommy hurt? An interview with author Elizabeth Christy on chronic pain

    in Health

Elizabeth M. Christy lives in Northern Virginia with her husband James, son Jimmy (5), and daughter Lucy (newborn). She is the best-selling author of the children’s book "Why Does Mommy Hurt? Helping Children Cope with having a Caregiver with Chronic Pain, Fibromyalgia, or Autoimmune Disease," and blogs on parentswithpain.com and potomacfallsmama.blogspot.ca.  Additionally, she works as a Systems Integrator for TASC. In addition to basic survival, Elizabeth enjoys writing, sewing (especially in straight lines!), and reading good memoirs.

“Why Does Mommy Hurt?” is a great resource to talk to children about chronic pain and illness. On this episode, we'll discuss the guilt and shame many parents suffering from chronic pain feel about their parenting. The fact is that parents with chronic pain or illness can be just as awesome as “normal” parents when it comes to raising kids, and if you love your kids, that’s all that matters.  We may not be able to walk a mile to the playground, cook a 7-course organic meal from scratch, or volunteer on a field trip to the amusement park, but that’s not what really matters. If you love your kids, you will find your own way, and your kids will know it. Also, many parents in this situation feel very alone, especially when first diagnosed. There are millions of families out there in the same situation, you are not alone, and you have support out there waiting for you!

The Art of Having it ALL, by Christy Whitman

    in Self Help

Christy Whitman is living proof that YES, you can have it ALL!

On the heels of several highly successful and influential women coming forth with the assertion that it isn't possible for women to have it all, and that in fact, attempting to do so is detrimental to our well-being, this book presents a radically different point of view: Not only is it possible for a woman to create everything she desires in every aspect of her life, but to settle for anything less is to deprive her of the exhilaration, joy, expansion and freedom of becoming all that she is capable of being.

Christy explains to you how she has done this and how you can too. We Invite you to call in and ask her any questions that you have.

You can like Christy's facebook page https://www.facebook.com/theartofhavingitall to get all the up to date scoop and see what others have posted as thier Having it ALL moments.

    Enjoy the show!

Call in with questions to gain clarity on working with the awesome power within you, that awesome Universal Energy that is flowing through you always.
