Dr. Eben Alexander talks about his extraordinary journey into the afterlife. Dr. Alexander, a highly respected and renowned neurosurgeon, spent over three decades honing his scientific worldview. He believed he knew how the brain and mind worked. A transcendental Near Death Experience (NDE), in which he was driven to the brink of death and spent a week deep in a coma from an inexplicable brain infrection, changed all of that - completely!
Today, we are honored to have with us Dr. Alexander to give us first-hand his "Proof of Heaven". His spiritual journey will no doubt leave you breathless.
Amir Khan won a convincing 12-round unanimous decision victory over Devon Alexander in a matchup of two of the fastest welterweights in the world on Saturday in the main event of SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING® from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The impressive victory was nearly a shutout, with Khan winning 119-109, 118-110 and 120-108 to remain undefeated at 147 pounds and extend his winning streak against southpaws to seven.Tim Bradley Jr. returned to the ring tonight and took on rugged Argentine Diego Chaves at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.
A night of controversy continued in the main event as the judges scored the fight 116-112 Chaves, 115-113 Bradley, and 114-114 a split draw. The idea that anyone could give 8 rounds to Chaves is ludicrous especially coming from Julie Lederman one of the best judges in the sport in my opinion.
Bradley looked tremendous to start the fight very sharp with crisp punches. His legs looked great and his defense was on point. He landed flush shots on Chaves, boxing very effectively through the first 3 rounds. Chaves had moments of effectiveness during exchanges.

The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness a book by Michelle Alexander a civil rights litigator and legal scholar, published in 2010(The New Press). The book deals with race-related and social, political, and legal phenomena in the United States and attempts to apply the term 'The New Jim Crow' to the situation of African Americans in the contemporary United States. The name derives from the original Jim Crow laws that prevailed in the states of the former Confederacy of the U.S. through the 1960s. This book was on The New York Times Best Seller List ten consecutive months, and philosopherCornel West has called it a "secular bible for a new social movement in early twenty-first-century America." In the book Alexander deals primarily with the issue of the current mass levels of incarceration in the United States (with 5%of the world's population, U.S. incarcerates 25%of the world's prisoners) and what she perceives as societal repression of AfricanAmerican men and, to a lesser degree, Latino men. She discusses the social consequences of various policies for people of color, as well as for the US population as a whole. According to Alexander, the majority of black men in large American cities are "warehoused in prisons," their labor no longer needed in the globalized economy. Alexander maintains that many young black men, once they are labeled as "felons," become trapped in a second-class status that they find difficult to escape. The conventional point of view holds that discrimination has mostly ended with the Civil rights movement reforms of 1960s. Alexander claims the U.S. criminal justice system uses the “War on Drugs” as a primary tool for enforcing traditional, as well as new, modes of discrimination and repression.

Happy holidays to everyone out there and boxing is giving its gift this weekend with a pair of events televised on HBO and Showtime that will surely have boxing fans happy for the upcoming holidays. For this article I’ll be going over the Golden Boy Card that involves such names as Keith Thurman, Abner Mares, Victor Ortiz, and both Charlo brothers that will be headlined by Amir “King” Khan squaring off against Devon Alexander “The Great.”
Amir Khan (29-3 with 19 KOs) is a fast-handed boxer who is born and very well followed in the UK. He has fought and defeated fighters such as Marco Antonio Barea, Paulie Malignaggi, Chino Maidana, and Zab Judah. However, everything hasn’t been prefect for Khan, sustaining losses from Lamont Peterson, Danny Garcia, and of course his 1st career loss, a 1st round KO to Breidis Prescott in the UK 6 years ago.
Devon Alexander (26-2 with 14 KOs) also has a pretty darn good resume. He’s defeated fighters such as Junior Witter, Juan Urango, Randall Bailey, a controversial win against Lucas Matthysee, and he also holds wins over Andriy Kotelnik and Chino Maidana. His losses have come to the likes of Timothy Bradley and Shawn Porter. He’s more of a technical fighter with not much power, but he also is a southpaw, which could complicate the rhythm of this fight.
Timothy Bradley (31-1, 12 KOs) is one of the most determined fighters in the sport of boxing. He has shown the ability to go toe to toe with the very dangerous Ruslan Provodkinov, and outbox the very crafty Juan Manuel Marquez. Coming off a loss against Manny Pacquiao he wants to rebound with a victory against the very underrated and dangerous Diego Chaves (23-2, 19 KOs).
Chaves is a typical power punching aggressive fighter from Argentina with good boxing skills. Both fighters are looking to make a statement this Saturday night in the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
On the latest episode of the Tale of the Tape the guys preview a busy weekend in the world of boxing headlined by the return of 'The Desert Storm' Timothy Bradley to HBO as he squares of with rugged Argentine slugger Diego Chaves. In a loaded undercard, Matt Korobov goes head-to-head with the 'Irishman' Andy Lee for the WBO middleweight championship of the world and Jose Benavidez looks to make his mark on the 140 pound division as he challenges the crafty veteran Maricio Herrera for the interim WBA junior welterweight title.
On the same evening, in the same town, Showtime presents the the fight night dubbed 'Royal Battle' as British boxing star Amir Khan returns to the ring against Devon Alexander in a welterweight bout. And in a battle of undefeated fighters, knockout artist Keith Thurman takes on Italian fighter Leonard Bundu for Thurman's interim WBA welterweight belt.
Erislandy Lara returns against Ishe Smith in a junior middleweight contest.
All of this and much, much more on a very special and action packed preview edition of the Tale of the Tape!
