Learn Balanced Choices with Chelle Knijnenburg
Thursday August 21, 2014 @ 1pm my special guest is my friend and colleague Chelle Knijnenburg and we’re going to be talking about BALANCED CHOICES
Chelle is an author, a blogger, an activist, nutritionist and the Chief Fun Officer of Food. She has spent a lifetime debunking the “common thoughts” and mistakes that people make concerning food, food choices and food lifestyles.
So, what do we really know about what to eat? Most of us just follow whatever are the most popular regimes, fad diets or whatever “the experts” or media says is the best for us, right? That’s what I used to do too. I was an exercise expert but not a food expert or nutritionist, but I knew enough to know I didn’t know anything.

Especially now. We three hosts have had some major choices and decisions to face over the past few years - and more still coming. We will share how we have dealt, and are dealing, with this. As will our listeners we are certain.

Why is having confidence in ourselves and our abilities so hard? Why do many of us have the tendency to overestimate other people's abilities and power and underestimate our own? Why are many of us so concerned with what other people think about us?
If we are to understand these things, first we need to understand why we think, feel, and act the way we do. We need to understand why and how we have become who we are, as well as why we react or respond in certain ways. When we understand ourselves, we can either accept the way we are or make changes so we will be able to accept ourselves.
What we believe and accept about ourselves determines our behavior and performance. These, in turn, create our results and our results affect our confidence levels.
Join Choices host, Judi Moreo, as she talks about self-limiting beliefs vs. self-empowering beliefs and how these can affect our behavior and ultimately our success. There is a direct correlation between the quality of our relationships, both personal and professional, and our levels of self-esteem and self-confidence. “The person with a fixed goal, a clear picture of his desire, or an ideal always before him, causes it, through repetition, to be buried deeply in his subconscious mind and is thus enabled, thanks to its regenerative and sustaining power, to realize his goal in a minimum of time and with a minimum of physical effort. Just pursue the thought unceasingly. Step-by-step you will achieve realization for all your faculties and powers become directed to that end.” Claude M Bristol
It’s not a secret that winners do things that other people don’t or won’t do. Winners have a clear picture of what they want and where they are going. Winners do the prep. Winners do the practice. Winners do the work. Winners visualize themselves winning long before they are actually in the race or the game. Winners take action.
Have you determined what you want? Have you created a detailed path of how you will get there? Have you listed what resources you will need and come up with some creative ideas of how you will get them? Have you evaluated your values and priorities? Are you using your talents, skills, and abilities to your full capability?
Do you do something every day toward your goals? If not, join Choices host, Judi Moreo, author of “You Are More Than Enough” as she discusses how to be a winner in life. Judi has created a system that has helped thousands of people stay on the path to winning every day throughout their lives and she’ll be sharing it with you.
Well, we are not done with te 1014 elections but there is no way to to look forward to 2016 and presidential choices. At this point it seems clear the Democrats have only Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden to put as their standard baerers. Pretty sad really seeing that they 8 years to find someone, anyone else. The Republican are pretty pathetic themselves with their lack of variety. It looks like the same or nearly the same group that will bubble to the surface. Republican are terrified about a 2016 primary season that leaves any possible front-runner to damaged to win so, you re not likely to see any real difference between the top contenders in the Republican primaries.

In this age of information, we have to send, receive, and process huge amounts of information, knowledge, and messages every day.
Effective communication means more than exchanging information. It is a combined set of skills: non-verbals (what people see about you), attentive listening, the ability to manage stress in the present, the capacity to recognize and understand emotions in yourself and in others. It is a learned skill.
Effective communication can deepen your connection to others, improve relationships, teamwork, decision making, and problem solving. Effective communication can make it possible for you to deliver difficult information without creating conflict or destroying trust.
No matter what your job is, you need the ability to work with others effectively. If you are able to bring out the best in those with whom you live and work, the sky is the limit to your success.
Join Choices host and best-selling author, Judi Moreo as she talks about how strengthening your communication skills will increase your personal productivity and help the people you live with and work with achieve more as well -- which will have the added benefit of leading a happier and healthier life.
