    in Culture

While baking 30,000 lbs of delicious brownies on a daily basis seems like it should be enough, Greyston Bakery's unique Open Hiring is its hallmark and what it is best known for.

Since its founding in 1982 by Zen Master Bernie Glassman, Greyston, the country’s leading social enterprise, has provided individuals in Southwest Yonkers, NY with employment, skills and resources to lift them out of poverty. Greyston’s unique combination of Open Hiring at the world famous Greyston Bakery and PathMaking services offer a roadmap to assist individuals and families in visualizing and realizing their paths to self-sufficiency. Its spiritually-rooted philosophy fuels community development and a commitment to human growth and potential.

Greyston's open door hiring policy offers employment opportunities regardless of educational attainment, work history, or past social barriers, such as incarceration, homelessness or drug use. Greyston believes that employment is a first step in an individual’s path toward success.

Mike Brady, President and CEO of Greyston Bakery, New York's first Benefit Corporation explains how it all works: anyone that comes to the front door of the bakery is given the chance to work, no questions asked. When a job becomes available the next person on our waiting list is given a job. Greyston provides them with resources, personal development tools and training in professional skills to give them the greatest chance for success in their new job.

The Voice of Leadership is proud to launch this B Corp Series: For People, Planet and Profit, and even more proud to give the first spot in this ongoing series to one of it's favorite brownies, er, organizations ... Greyston Bakery.

Homophobia - LGBTQ - SCOTUS got confused

    in Politics

Hr1  Xander Gibb, self-proclaimed Queen of ALL NY Media, weighs in on the latest Supreme Court ruling making same-sex marriage the law of the land. He says his stance on gay marriage has reclassified him as a "homophobe" even though he himself is openly gay. Go figure!

Xander questions, if LGBT's want to attain rights, why do they want to trample on others' rights in the process? And if this really is all about love, let's extend that a little bit to people who don't agree with us. Forcing someone (like a church or a bakery) to do something they don't want to do is called slavery.

Hr2  Ramadan is supposed to be a time of peace and reflection for Muslims. ISIS is not your average Muslim. ISIS says this year it will be a "time of calamity" for the infidels.

Law professor, Frank Buckley discusses the Supreme Court (SCOTUS) ruling making gay marriage legal. He says expect to see an increase in litigation around religious freedom for churches. Even if you like today's ruling, you should be concerned about the precedence it sets for future courts taking latitudes.

Hr3  Leave it to Jesse Watters to try to talk politics at a pot expo! What'd you expect? GADS!

Dr. Saqib Qureshi talks about how self-identity affects all aspects of our life and our culture.

Have you had your healthy dose of reality lately?

The Cult of Caitlyn Jenner and the Leftists Who Love Them

    in Politics Conservative

So today is going to be new twist but old hat when it comes to subject matter.  Unfortunately, due to an unforseen phone call this morning, today's show is going to basically be based around some articles and pieces I've pasted on the Facebook page and some of the things I personally have discussed pretty much all week.  That works, because hopefully if I'm an "expert" on anything, it's what I've been discussing for the past several days.  But there wasn't a lot of time to prepare a show or scan the web for scintillating news stories today.  So, this is the show.  I'll be sharing with you the downright creepy reaction of many in the media, many on the left, many on social media regarding the official debut of "Caitlyn Jenner".  Also, a refreshing contrasting view point that you may or may not have heard from an "ex" transgender individual who relates how changing his sexual identity through surgery did not bring him peace.  And, you may have heard about the latest involving Sweet Cakes bakery out in Oregon and the government, or actually bureaucratic body, and their less than objective view of the state discrimination laws in Oregon.  I'll have some information there as well as the Kleins's reaction to the new information.  That's today on the show at 4:30 PM Eastern time, archived after that
