Extensive research has gone into high achievers, with the end result being more linked to discipline, drive and dedication than to innate talent. Many kids get easily frustrated at a very young age and after a few failed attempts at say, tying their shoe, they give up, cry, and request a Velcro pair. While temperament will always play a role, all children can be taught to push themselves beyond what they believed achievable. How you can raise your children to be winners.

Children handle pet death rather easily. It is the adult's reactions and actions that can leave a scar of misunderstanding. Most kids feel as strongly over the loss of the pet as adults do, but look to the adults in their lives to decide how to respond to the loss.
Many adults feel it is best to protect children from the upsetting truth of what has happened to their pet and so they lie! They pretend the pet "ran away" or perhaps "moved to the country." Without telling children the truth, it will cause them more pain and the potential for guilty feelings for not taking better care of their pet.
Were you aware that how a child hears about the first death in his life, usually a pet or grandparent, can color his future perspecive on death? Please see this great kids book; http://www.amazon.com/Miss-You-Pets-Heaven-Parent-ebook/dp/B00J0D707Y/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1416880152&sr=1-1&keywords=I+miss+you%3A+all+pets+go+to+heaven You will be glad you did.

It is not uncommon for adult children of alcoholics to attract energy beings who are very similar to their parents. It is quite common in fact for adult children to attract alcoholics as partners and to have children with drug and alcoholc issues. I hear some wondering, "But how could this be? I did not drink, and I hated my father who was an alcoholic. How could I have attracted a spouse who drinks and have children who drink and do drugs?" The reality Dear One, is that we attract what we are on a vibrational level, and your childhood experiences have created certain emotional set points. These set points are no different than a radio station. So like moths to a flame, children who have been abused by alcoholics are tuned up for alcoholics. Why? Because ACoA's understand the dysfunctional love language of an alcoholic, and or narcissistic, denial based being. While a non-codependent being would avoid alcoholics whose actions might not match what is comign out of his/her mouth, and ACoA sees these beings as needing sympathy, help, or love. In addition, because their idea of love is evasive, complicated and confusing, ACoA's match up their energies perfectly with beings who are more than willing to be evasice, complicated and confusing. Taking a Toxic Vibrational Fast is a Fast Pass Way to Facilitate Emotional Healing.
Are you teaching your children to truly take care of themselves and fill their own needs? Or have you made choices that leave your child dependent on you? Naturally we all want to keep our children safe, and of course we like to see them happy, but if we truly want to support our children expanding and growing then we need to foster their confidence in the Universe and their knowing of all they are capable of creating.

Marijuana legalization could put the United States in violation of international law. An inmate's comfort in Michigan is denied by the courts. U.S. veteran is set on fire and killed in a possible hate crime. Charles Manson is set to get married and his future mother-in-law weighs in. Utah falls back on the firing squad when drugs for lethal injection become scarce. Italians are asking to be excommunicated and of course the Pope always has something stupid to say. So Listen Already!
Demonstrations, protests, media attention, the problem of police brutality has recently taken prominence in our society. Anger, sadness and fear are some of the overwhelming emotions. How are the children? Do they understand what is happening? How do we appropriately discuss this difficult topics with our children?
Please join me today at 6:30pm on BlogTalkRadio for a discussion on these matters.
My guest will be Gina Parker Collins, founder of RIISE, Inc, mother, advocate and change agent.
