Travel Today - The One&Only Palmilla

    in Travel

This week's episode of Travel Today with Peter Greenberg comes from The One&Only Palmilla in Los Cabos, Mexico. After being hit by Hurricane Odile in September 2014, Los Cabos was badly damaged. Like many other properties, the One&Only Palmilla suffered major wounds and had to close for a massive recovery and rebuilding effort. But now it’s back, and some would say, better than ever.

The resort’s staff pulled together as a community in one of the stronger examples of a public/private partnership. Arnie Weissmann, Editor-in-Chief of Travel Weekly, talks about disaster tourism and why now is the time to go to Los Cabos. Then the President of the Los Cabos Humane Society, Aida Trujillo, talks about animal displacement after the storm and how visitors can help…including international pet adoption! (Hint—you get to fly your new pet home…for free!). All of this and more on this week's Travel Today with Peter Greenberg comes from The One&Only Palmilla.

    32 For 32: Chicago Bears

    in Sports

What a year it was for the Chicago Bears...& I don't mean that in a good way by any stretch of imagination. The team came of a 5-11 season in 2014, their first double-digit loss season since producing the exact same record just 10 years prior. & as a result, changes had to be made, & it started in the front office. General manager Phil Emery...gone. Director of pro personnel Kevin Turks...gone. & of course head coach Marc Trestman...gone as well, along with offensive coordinator Aaron Kromer. Quarterbacks coach Matt Canavaugh's contract was not retained by the organization as well. Roster changes include the departures of wide receiver Brandon Marshall, cornerback Charles Tillman (who missed the majority of 2014 due to injury), safety Chris Conte, defensive tackle Stephen Paea, safety Anthony Walters, & center Roberto Garza...just to name a few. New head coach John Foz, who had taken his two previous coached teams the Broncos & Panthers to Super Bowls, is expected to bring a fresh new attitude. & what about quarterback Jay Cutler? The guy was almost traded to the Tennessee Titans & still possess a lof of money in his current deal. What will become of the Bears going forward in 2015?? Tune in to a new episode of The Rocket Sports Breakdown Thursday May 21st @ 6:30pm to find out. For 30 minutes, Rocket will discuss the Bears & their 2015 offseason & more. Rocket Nation, get ready for a power trip.
