Sean Highkin is the Bulls beat reporter for Bleacher Report, and also contributes to NBC's Pro Basketball Talk. He gives his take on the Derrick Rose/Jimmy Butler feud, as well as how well Joakim Noah will accept coming off the bench. Coach Nick and Sean get into why athletes seem to get blamed for getting injured, as well as some insane trade ideas.
Longtime Bulls writer and podcaster Doug Thonus joins Nate Duncan to discuss their hometown team the Chicago Bulls. Topics: The Mike Dunleavy injury, if and how Derrick Rose can get back to star form, whether Jimmy Butler can take another leap, and how Fred Hoiberg should use Joakim Noah and Pau Gasol--plus season predictions.
We're all pretty stoked about the Lions getting back-to-back wins. You know what I'm saying? Like, winning is better than losing!
We break down the 1-0 victory over Chicago Fire at Toyota Park, giving you our overall thoughts on the match, discuss what Brek Shea's return has meant to the club, and hand out our selections for Man of the Match.
The defense seems to be starting to gel now that David Mateos has played a few matches in purple and that's great to see. And Bryan Rochez has had a couple of super-sub performances off the bench and that could lead to a start this Friday.
Speaking of Friday, we are joined by Jason Iapicco from Once a Metro to preview this weekend's game at Red Bull Arena. Jason gives us the RBNY perspective and it's unanimous -- we all want Orlando City to finish ahead of New York City FC.
Here's how the magic happened:
0:26- We're thrilled with more points, excited to have Brek Shea back, and intrigued to see what Adrian Heath does with his lineup on Friday.
15:40- Jason jumps aboard to let us know what's changed with the Red Bulls since the last meeting and discusses what it takes to be successful in MLS.
38:02- Prognostication time! Who will start? What's the key to the match? Who will win? We take our best shot at getting it right for a change, and -- surprise! -- we're split on this.
We're back and you can't send us off because we won't go!
Michael Citro and Kevin Mercer break down the tough Saturday night home loss to New York Red Bulls and have a lot to say about the red card that saw Cyle Larin off after 32 minutes and the behavior of the veteran player who drew the call. The consensus is that we're just really tired of red cards.
We also broke down a rather enjoyable friendly last Wednesday vs. West Bromwich Albion. It was a pleasant surprise to see the Lions go for it in a game that came at a tough time in the schedule and meant absolutely nothing.
We give you our Man of the Match for both games, plus we talk about all the other big happenings this week, including the All-Star captaincy for Kaká, the MLS Homegrown Game, the trade that sent Amobi Okugo to Sporting Kansas City and brought back Servando Carrasco, the Corey Ashe trade, the possibility of landing a midfielder from Sao Paulo and more!
Plus, we make our ridiculously wrong predictions for the Chicago Fire match on Wednesday and the rematch with New York City FC on Sunday afternoon.
Here's how it went:
0:26- Red cards! Fourth officials! Simulation! Missed opportunities! Let's make some sense of that Red Bulls game.
15:50- On a happier note, the Lions looked rather good against EPL side West Brom. You probably didn't get to see the non-televised and non-streamed affair, so we're here to tell you about it.
27:05- Kaká is the MLS All-Star captain, Tyler Turner is a Homegrown All-Star and whether that's a good thing.
32:18- Big trade this week! Here are the details and maybe a hint of analysis. We think this is only the first domino.
40:15- Paulo Henrique Ganso, the Corey Ashe trade,, are the refs out to get us, and our sure-to-be-wrong predictions.
Kris Bryant is your NL Rookie of the Year. Joe Maddon is your NL Manager of the Year. And your NL Cy Young Award winner? Jake Arrieta. The Chicago Cubs have swept through this week's MLB awards. So let's look at just how deserving these winners are, and what this can do for the team moving forward.
The Bulls and Blackhawks both begin road trips tonight, with the Hawks taking on the Oilers and Bulls battling the Suns in Phoenix. Derrick Rose is hurt again, and the Hawks have been dreadful on the road this season. Can either team pull off a winning road trip?

The Chicago Bulls announced Derrick Rose had an MRI which showed a medial meniscus tear of the right knee that will require surgery. A timetable for Rose’s recovery will be given following his surgery.
That leaves Chicago with Aaron Brooks and Kirk Hinrich as the current options at point guard.
Nate Robinson is an intriguing option for Chicago on the free agent market. Robinson played well for the Bulls during the 2013 playoffs where he averaged 16.3 points per game.
With that in mind, Michael Scotto of SheridanHoops.com joined Yahoo! Sports Radio and host Anthony Pepe to discuss the immediate future for Derrick Rose, whom the Chicago Bulls will target as a potential replacement and the future of coach Tom Thibodeau.
The Chicago Bears look to upset the Denver Broncos at Soldier Field on Sunday to reach 5-5 and stay relevant in the playoff picture. What will Brock Osweiler do in place of the injured Peyton Manning? Can the Bears crack Denver's tough defense? The Bulls will try to hand the Golden State Warriors their first loss of the season tonight, and will have to do it without Derrick Rose. Is it too early to start comparing this Warriors team to the 72-10 Bulls that won the franchise's 4th championship? Plus my Fantasy Football picks for Week 11!

Join EROCK and King Brocks as they breakdown the Bulls recent week, the College football playoff polls and the MLB Offseason thus far.
The Bears will try for their second win in a row when they face the Rams in St. Louis on Sunday. Standing in their way is one of the best defenses in the league with hard hitters and a fast secondary. They'll also have to try to slow down rookie phenom running back Todd Gurley. How will they manage? The Bulls announced earlier this week that they purchased an NBA Development League team, which will begin to play in the 2016-17 season. Get ready for minutes, rookies! Plus, my fantasy football picks for Week 10.
