The Chicago Bulls announced Derrick Rose had an MRI which showed a medial meniscus tear of the right knee that will require surgery. A timetable for Rose’s recovery will be given following his surgery.
That leaves Chicago with Aaron Brooks and Kirk Hinrich as the current options at point guard.
Nate Robinson is an intriguing option for Chicago on the free agent market. Robinson played well for the Bulls during the 2013 playoffs where he averaged 16.3 points per game.
With that in mind, Michael Scotto of SheridanHoops.com joined Yahoo! Sports Radio and host Anthony Pepe to discuss the immediate future for Derrick Rose, whom the Chicago Bulls will target as a potential replacement and the future of coach Tom Thibodeau.

I reported this morning that the Chicago Bulls have made an offer of Nikola Mirotic, TajGibson, and Doug McDermott to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Kevin Love.
Naturally, this was big news in Chicago -- especially since it comes one day after both McDermott and Mirotic signed their rookie contracts. They cannot be traded for another 29 days.
I talked about the Bulls' offer, and how it stacks up against other teams' offers, in this interview with the Carman & Jurko Show on ESPN1000 in Chicago.

The Chicago Bears have slowed their roll on the free agent market, which means increasing speculation regarding the upcoming NFL draft. What position do the Bears still desperately need? The Chicago Bulls meanwhile, have lost 5 of their last 6 and look utterly lost and hopeless without three of their key players. What can be done to salvage the season and their spot in the standings? The Blackhawks take on the New York Islanders tonight, having won two straight games where they finally got some production from their power play. Several players that had gone missing on the score sheet showed up. Can the Blackhawks keep it rolling without Patrick Kane? All this and your phone calls (347) 327-9183!

I'm breaking down the first games of the NCAA tourney and offering my pick to win it all. I'll give you a hint: it's not Kentucky. The Bears remain fairly quiet on the free agency market, but have their eye on a certain running back in the draft. The Bulls got a much needed win over the Indiana Pacers last night, as rookie Nikola Mirotic continues to shine. Meanwhile, Tom Thibodeau vocalizes his grievances regarding Joakim Noah's minutes restriction. The Blackhawks got big wins over two New York teams on back to back nights, and Corey Crawford is playing like a man possessed. All this and your phone calls @ (347) 327-9183.
