It is now one hundred years since drugs were first banned in the United States. On the eve of this centenary, journalist Johann Hari set off on an epic three-year, thirty-thousand-mile journey into the war on drugs. What he found is that more and more people all over the world have begun to recognize three startling truths: Drugs are not what we think they are. Addiction is not what we think it is. And the drug war has very different motives to the ones we have seen on our TV screens for so long.
In Chasing the Scream, Hari reveals his discoveries entirely through the stories of people across the world whose lives have been transformed by this war. They range from a transsexual crack dealer in Brooklyn searching for her mother, to a teenage hit-man in Mexico searching for a way out. It begins with Hari’s discovery that at the birth of the drug war, Billie Holiday was stalked and killed by the man who launched this crusade—and it ends with the story of a brave doctor who has led his country to decriminalize every drug, from cannabis to crack, with remarkable results.
Chasing the Scream lays bare what we really have been chasing in our century of drug war—in our hunger for drugs, and in our attempt to destroy them. This book will challenge and change how you think about one of the most controversial—and consequential—questions of our time. The truth is closr than you think. The LORD Jesus desires to have a deep intimate relationship with you where you can both walk hand in hand and know all the favor in creation available to use for the greater good of the Kingdom of God here on earth. Peace and joy wrapped in love is available to you confidence in every situation no matter what you are facing is also your if you desire to have it. Prayer and fellowship with Jesus is the most epic reality this world has ever known or will know. Most people go through life so stuck in whatever pursuit they are chasing they dont take the time to develop a real relationship with Jesus. Many people claim to know Him and walk with Him however the evidence to back that up often time is lacking. Not that they mean evil it's just a short siding of sorts to the one claiming and to others because they see the wrong Jesus not the right one and then get a bad taste in their mouth because a so called Christian was a hypocrite and did the very things they were saying others shouldnt so its all to often happening in the world.
When it comes to signs and wonders and miracles and the works Jesus does they are alive and well today to all who are willing to go to the cross, die to self, be born again and die to the old ways, sinful and dead anyways.
The master Key to a strong relationship with Jesus will be discussed on tonights show and helpful hints of growing in the LORD daily.

Words of Wisdom: We all need to Sizzle! That phrase was shared with me on a mentoring breakfast with a prominent West Michigan leader. She recommended the following action item: find 15 minutes each day to actively work on your present and future SIZZLE status, personal OR professional. Make a phone call, study a journal, talk to one in the business, make a planned objective happen, etc. To this day, I keep my SIZZLE journal close - and it’s paying off. Start SIZZLING today. It will make a difference.
