  • You Can Have Positive Power by Adjusting Your Thinking!

    in Christianity

Welcome to another show here at, "Your Place".  Last week, Wild Bill got his negiative, idiotic button stuck, in the on Position.  You could say he had a melt down on the show! He has had to eat a lot of crow this last week and has been a pretty good sport about it.  For many people music is a way to sooth the beast that lives within.  For example, the music that started tonight's show was from a bunch of young people in Isreal that made all of the noises you heard in this song with their voices, and the use of their body.  No musical instruments were being played!  Tonights show is intended to put a smile on your face and put an extra bounce in your step as you have to face the struggles that come from everyday life.  At some point in time we will all face a time of crisis and stress that feels beyond our limits.  We llok forward to your thoughts on how you deal with stress, and life when it seems the entire world has fallen on you!

Thinking on Your Feet, Pulling It Out of Your Hat or Grabbing It Out of a Basket

    in Spirituality

What do you do when you encounter unexpected questions? Does it send you into a fluster and make you stumble over your words or do you have a plan to handle anything?  The first eight seconds is not just an advertising term.  How we present ourselves in the first eight seconds in every situation determines if we have a future interaction.  Sometimes Purpose Talk Radio topics are determined late in the week because there is not a list of topics at hand when there is not a guest.  Other times it seems there are many topics and the problem is deciding on what will be the most help to the listeners.  Sometimes nothing seems "just right."  However, in any case, we always have some tools to use to get a topic.  Therefore, on Friday, Jan. 29, noon PT/3 p.m. ET/8 p.m. UK, host Cindy Freeman will discuss some things you can do to have answers readily at your fingers when you feel there aren't any.

Join the conversation live via phone at 347-205-9074 or Skype. You can listen live or archived recording. You also are invited to join conversation live or archived at Purpose Talk Radion Conversations on Facebook.

Positive Thinking Really Can Change Your Life with Amy Newmark

    in Moms and Family

“How much better would life be if lived with possibility? This book is filled with the stories of people who didn’t heed the negative voice in their heads, who proved the experts wrong, who dug deep and as a result celebrated victories—some monumental, some small,” says Deborah Norville, an award-winning host of Inside Edition, and a journalist, news anchor and entrepreneur, in her introduction to Chicken Soup for the Soul latest edition, Think Possible.

Deborah continued with, “Here’s a news flash if you suspect ‘thinking’ possible is a waste of brain power: You are wrong! The research I’ve discovered reveals that when you’ve decided you are going to do something, you not only increase your chances of being successful by priming your brain to make the right choices to achieve your goal, you also make yourself less susceptible to the impediments that might crop up along the way. It’s as though you’ve supercharged your mind and put on body armor to ward off the naysayers.”

Kick off your new year, 2016 by joining Amy Newmark, the publisher and editor-in-chief for Chicken Soup and me on Tuesday, November 29, 10-11 A.M. CT US. We will be discussing inspirational stories about people doing the impossible, whether they are overcoming disabilities, achieving success despite predictions to the contrary, coming back from trauma and disasters, or rebooting their lives through just plain positive thinking and force of will.
