Life Changing Insights with Dr. Alan Simberg and his guest Mike Calderwood
Founded by Michael Calderwood, Thrive Business Center is an organization created to educate and support small business owners who are burned out, spinning their wheels and don’t know what to do next. Michael brings nearly two decades of practical experience to the table, to help them fix what is not working in their business and create sustainable, profitable and thriving enterprises.
Before founding Thrive Business Center, Michael was a serial entrepreneur for nearly twenty years. During that time he built dozens of businesses in many different industries, from home inspections to health and wellness to children’s entertainment. Some of these ventures were extremely successful, some less so, but building these businesses from scratch taught him exactly what it takes to make a small business thrive.
After his latest venture, he decided that instead of building another business, he wanted to help other entrepreneurs get their own thriving enterprises off the ground. In 2012, he received his professional coaching certification from the world-class Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC) and founded Thrive Business Center, an organization dedicated to helping small businesses thrive.
Michael resides in Katy, Texas with his wife and their two children. In his spare time he enjoys photography, youth sports, family time and travel. Find out more about Thrive Business Center here.

Rumors are dainty morsels that sink deep into one’s heart.

Adventurer and Motivational Speaker On May 23, 2008, Ian Taylor became the youngest Irishman to stand on the top of the world. In June 2007 Ian and his friend set out to climb four mountains on four continents in one year with Mount Everest being the final climb. Before June 2007, he had only climbed one mountain over 5,000m. Ian also took on a charity element, raising €70,000 to build the Mt. Everest primary school in Uganda with Irish charity Fields of Life. From + 40c to - 40c Ian braved his own demons and the mountains. He saved a fellow climbers life and four months after being told he wasn't the right material for Everest by two professionals, he successfully made it to the summit of Mount Everest. This was a true story of teamwork, drive and ultimately success. Based in the US and Ireland, Ian has years of experience of managing teams in a business environment. He also leads and trains teams for mountain expeditions around the world and has done so with great success. Ian has climbed Kilimanjaro 17 times now, aiming for 50 summits, he has lead hundreds of people to reach their goals in the mountains. http://www.iantaylortrekking.com
