It's a refain we hear very often when we give each other another chance to do the job well, regain trust, mend fences, or some other even where a relationship is broken by an act. It's another opportunity to try again.
Being given a second chance is often an act of grace. Someone has to decide whether to let you off the hook, or give you another opportunity to try again. Another person has to accept the grace offered to them. That's the beauty of second chances...wipe a clean slate even after the first one has been dirtied.

Sam Thurman, Cliff Stewart, Lisa Stewart and Lamont Banks of the Colorado exoneration firm A Just Cause, discuss what happens when the wheels of justice trample unbridled over the rights of innocent Americans.
Although the American system of justice is the most-respected worldwide, it is still a system designed, and operated, by humans, which means it's not perfect. Sam, Cliff, Lisa and Lamont will highlight ongoing struggles against "the system" to free wrongfully imprisoned people, and what happens when justice miscarries against an actually innocent person.

Second chances and forgiveness go hand in hand, right? So you can't have a successful second chance without forgiveness, but maybe you can still forgive without giving a second chance. It can be counter-productive for people to “back track” when it comes to relationships. Once it is over it is over. It ended for a reason, but people may be able to forgive the person and/or themselves, if required, and move on.
However, forgiveness is ever present in all types of successful relationships. Nobody’s perfect so it’s likely you will need to be forgiving and understanding to those you love. Is there a certain minimum level of forgiveness required to facilitate a second chance in a relationship? Is there a major difference if the relationship has been over, is about to be over, or just ended? Are there things that are generally agreed upon as "unforgivable"? Is it best or possible to forgive and forget? Can a relationship heal by forgiveness alone? If you truly forget are you destined to have it happen again?
