The chaos of last week's Boston Marathon bombings and the days of violence and bloodshed that rattled the area and the nation have given rise to a fresh wave of discussion about terrorism. Examining the young men who allegedly perpetrated these crimes it would have been hard to guess they'd go this direction. Or would it?
On today's episode, Cathy talks with Dr. Paul Jabber. His varied background includes authoring several published works, academia, investment banking and following the attacks of September 11, 2001, he served for seven years as the scholar-in-residence at the CIA's Counterterrorism Center.
Last week Dr. Jabber spoke to the World Affairs Council of Las Vegas and offered a broad analysis of the jihadi movement, its structure, ideology, and ways in which it continues to represent a significant dual threat-of terrorism globally, and political unrest in several areas of the Muslim world.
