We all call ourselves Catholic Christians but how often are we called upon to really defend our faith and take a stand for what we believe it? And how often do we really take that opportunity to tell others that God should be the most important thing in our lives and God's laws are the ones we should follow, not our own? John, Brent and Amber have seen examples of that in their lives recently and on the next Catholic Cast, they'll share those moments with you. They'll also discuss some of the ways we can step out in faith when we're tested. That's on the next Catholic Cast Sunday at 12pET, only on BlogTalkRadio.
19 year-old funk-pop artist Philip "Pip" Arnold thrilled fans of NBC's "The Voice" back in 2012. His unique style and look earned him a spot on Adam Levine's team and a berth in the quarterfinals. Since then, Pip has begun to persue his singing career in Los Angeles and started his own charity "Youth in Mission" which sponsors youth groups in their works around the globe. On the next Catholic Cast, Pip joins Brent, John and Amber to talk about why he began this new ministry, what it's like to be a Christian following his dream of being in the music business and what it was like to be on "The Voice". The gang will also check in with the Atlanta Boys Choir's Reverend Neil Cardwell about their trip to Poland this summer to sing at different events celebrating Pope John Paul II's canonization and what the choir has in store for their new fall season. That and so much more on the Catholic Cast Sunday at 7pmET, 4pmPT only on BlogTalkRadio.com

It's hard to believe many schools are already back in session and we're getting back into the spirit on the next Catholic Cast. John, Brent and Amber have all had experience in the Lifeteen program designed to bring high school students closer to Christ. They talk about what it's like to be a teenager in the program and an adult core member. Some Lifeteen parents also share with us what it's like to have their children go through the program. And we'll see how the new Youth Ministers at St. Thomas the Apostle parish in Smyrna are getting ready for the new year. It's back to Lifeteen on the Catholic Cast, only on BlogTalkRadio,
Proverbs 27:17King James Version (KJV)
17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
The phrase “iron sharpens iron” is found in Proverbs 27:17: “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.”
There is mutual benefit in the rubbing of two iron blades together; the edges become sharper, making the knives more efficient in their task to cut and slice.
Likewise, the Word of God is a “double-edged sword” (Hebrews 4:12), and it is with this that we are to sharpen one another—in times of meeting, fellowship, or any other interaction.
Today we will talk about staying sharp in the WORD of GOD!
Make sure that you take down the scripture that will be given and study them yourself!
There's so much war and suffering in the world right now and it maybe hard for us to know how to respond to it. But as Catholics, we are called to be missionaries of God's love to all. So how can we do that? John, Brent and Amber share some helpful advise from their own experiences. They'll also reflect on Pope Francis' 10 way we can acheive happiness on our spiritual walk and why changes could be coming to how we give the sign of peace at mass. All that and a special birthday surprise for one of our hosts. Find out who on the Catholic Cast on BlogTalkRadio
