This show courtesy of KDTN Blogtalk's Music in Review Radio Show --Was Johnny Cash's first wife black?
Johnny Cash's first wife, Vivian Liberto, is supposedly Italian on her father's side, but in pictures she appears to have some African origins, which must've been .
No she wasn't black. People from the Mediterranean region such as Italy, or Greece tend to be more dark skinned. If there were any African origins in her family heritage, it would have come to light many many years ago. Italians can go from fair skinned, with blue eyes, and blonde hair, to what is called olive skinned, brown eyes, and jet black hair. If there is any type of African heritage, it would more likely be of Arabic decent, than of black African decent. Which would be much further to the south, for that genetic trait. Many times those of Arabic decent are forgotten geographically as being a part of the African continent.
Ok I can see where you might get then idea of her heritage from. At the due to the hairstyles it was uncommon for a female of Italian decent to in that period to be mistaken sometimes, as part black, especially in a photograph. Also how makeup was APPLIED could, and still can give the appearance of another racial/ethnic background/heritage.
This morning I talk about having a firm foundation in Scripture and keeping a constant channel open to God in all seasons.

What's in your wallet? Make it cash, not plastic.
To be fair, plastic is much sexier than a piece of colored paper with a president staring vaguely into the distance.
And yet, from a personal finance view, cash is almost always the better choice for making a purchase. Here's why:
1. Overpaying One of the drawbacks of credit and debit cards is that they encourage you to spend more than you intend to by giving you easy access to more capital.
2. Over-Shopping According to Soundmoneytips.com, people will spend more with a credit card compared to cash. In fact, a study found that people spend 12-18% more when using credit cards than when using cash. And McDonald's found that the average transaction rose from $4.50 to $7 when customers used plastic instead of cash.
For most people it becomes a matter of $2 here, $6 there, another $4 over here and so on until they give up keeping track of how much has been spent in a day - let alone a month. Then it's a shock when the monthly statement comes in.
