Called “the quintessential modern composer” by the London Independent, Austin-based composer-bandleader Graham Reynolds creates, performs, and records music for film, theater, dance, rock clubs and concert halls with collaborators ranging from Richard Linklater and Jack Black to DJ Spooky and Ballet Austin. Heard throughout the world in films, on TV, on stage, and on radio, from HBO to Showtime, Cannes Film Festival to the Kennedy Center, and BBC to NPR, he recently scored “Before Midnight” with Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy, “Bernie” featuring Jack Black, and the Hulu TV series “Up To Speed”. His score to the Robert Downey, Jr. feature "A Scanner Darkly" was named Best Soundtrack of the Decade by Cinema Retro magazine. With the jazz-based but far reaching Golden Arm Trio, Reynolds has repeatedly toured the country and released four critically acclaimed albums. As Co-Artistic Director of Golden Hornet Project with Peter Stopschinski, Reynolds has produced more than fifty concerts of world-premier alt-classical music by more than sixty composers, as well as five symphonies, two concertos and countless chamber pieces of his own. With Forklift Danceworks, Reynolds has scored pieces involving 18 trash trucks, 200 two-steppers, and a solo piece for traffic cop. Beauchamp Fontaine is a Los Angeles based feature film & television set decorator and commercial designer. Beauchamp recently completed work on Alexander Payne's Nebraska, which received accolades at Cannes. Prior to that she decorated Terrence Malick's Knight of Cups, Louis Leterrier's blockbusterNow You See Me, and Jeff Nichols' wonderful film Mud. Known for the myriad looks she can achieve, her decorating style ranges from a tasteful marriage of masculine metropolitan chic with an understated traditional sensibility, to a natural approachability as is evidenced in the beautiful riparian world of Jeff Nichols' Mud. Ms. Fontaine is also well-respected for her accurate period detailing, notably showcasing the 1960's in The Playboy Club; the 70's in in projects such as The Runaways and Swingtown; and going back to the 1920's in the exquisite flashback sequences of The Skeleton Key. John Axelrad, A.C.E. recently finished editing THE IMMIGRANT, his third collaboration with director James Gray. The feature film, starring Marion Cotillard, Joaquin Phoenix, and Jeremy Renner, premiered in competition at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival and will be released by The Weinstein Company. Axelrad’s other films with James Gray (TWO LOVERS with Joaquin Phoenix and Gwyneth Paltrow, and WE OWN THE NIGHT with Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Wahlberg), also premiered in competition at Cannes (in 2008 and 2007, respectively). In between those films, Axelrad edited thethriller GONE for Lakeshore and Summit Entertainment, the romantic comedy SOMETHING BORROWED, starring Kate Hudson and Ginnifer Goodwin, for Alcon Entertainment and Warner Bros, and the Miramax romantic comedy THE SWITCH,
starring Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman. In 2009, Axelrad edited Fox Searchlight’s critically acclaimed CRAZY HEART (starring Jeff Bridges) for director Scott Cooper.Earlier credits for Axelrad include James Gunn’s horror/comedy SLITHER,

On Wednesday, July 17, 3 p.m. ET American director, producer and writer Susan Seidelman will be Halli’s guest for the hour to talk about the release of her latest film, The Hot Flashes Movie, which recently opened nationwide. Susan Seidelman belongs to the first wave of female independent film makers in the American cinema of the 1980s. A student of fashion and arts at Drexel University in Philadelphia, her first forays into movie-making at New York University resulted in numerous awards. In 1982, Seidelman made her feature film debut with Smithereens, which was the first American independent film to be selected for competition at the 1982 Cannes Film Festival. Seidelman's second theatrical film Desperately Seeking Susan, featuring then-rising star Madonna, was a major box-office and critical success and launched the film careers of co-stars Rosanna Arquette and Aidan Quinn among others. Also on the list of Seidelman’s celebrated films: Making Mr. Right, Musical Chairs and Boynton Beach Club. Seidelman was the director of the pilot of the iconic television series Sex and the City, and went on to direct future episodes. Her latest film, The Hot Flashes Movie starring Brooke Shields, Darryl Hannah, Wanda Sykes, Camryn Manheim, Virginia Madsen and Eric Roberts opened Friday.

Eloy Mendez was born and raised in Oaxaca, Mexico. He made his acting debut in the critically acclaimed film Bread and Roses by Lionsgate, directed by Ken Loach and starring Adrian Brody, Elpida Carrillo and George Lopez. The film premiered at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Palme d’Or Award. He then went on to guest star in numerous television shows, including ER, THE SHIELD, GENERAL HOSPITAL, MONK, NCIS, GIRLFRIENDS and many more. In 2013 Eloy made his debut at the Sundance Film Festival where he co-starred in, C.O.G., which was selected to the Sundance Film Festival. The film C.O.G. was chosen for the opening night for L.A.’s Outfest LGBT film festival and will be released nationwide in the U.S in September. Other films include the Lionsgate release Dishdogz, alongside Luke Perry and Haylie Duff. Medio Tiempo for Showtime, The Price Of The American Dream, The Nevsky Prospect for the new Amazon studios The Wager for IFC and most recently: Stealing Las Vegas, starring Academy award nominee Eric Roberts and produced by legendary producer Roger Corman. The film recently held its’ world premiere at the historic Egyptian theatre. Eloy has also appeared in many commercials for both, the English and Spanish Market. His theater credits include WICKED, MELANCHOLIA and BOYS NEXT DOOR. Mr. Mendez is also a member of the Latino Theater Company, where he shared the stage with the late Lupe Ontiveros. He drops by on Saturday, July 13, at 4pm EST.
