Well, is it? It's a given that smaller companies have to fight a little harder and wiser to get in front of top talent. And they often times feel at a disadvantage to bigger, more well known companies. But if you have the right brand strategy, messaging and execution, your company can become a magnet for talent. And it doesn't include posting on job boards or begging for candidates onsocial media either. I'll tell you how.
Join me as I discuss the my four part strategy to making your company "Candidate Attractive". And I don't mean people just looking for work. But interested, talented candidates who can impact your bottom line. If you're looking to hire and expand, you might want to tune in and take plenty of notes! I'll also share how you can enroll in the Candidate Attraction System for Small Business and how you can work with me one on one. Don't miss it.
Oh yes, oh yes, oh yes! Hear ye, hear ye! It is our position to not hide from controversy. We have often offered the Fair Tax Time Radio podium to folks who take an unpopular or controversial stance on a subject, and this Wednesday will be no exception. We welcome Tressy Capps as our special guest at 6PM Pacific, 9PM Eastern.
Capps is a candidate for the Fontana, CA City Council. She was fired from her real estate job and has received death threats since she posted a video of her confronting an Hispanic person who was flying a Mexican flag in her front yard. The video went viral with hundreds of thousands of views in just a few days, plus it was featured on many TV news broadcasts, locally and nationally. We will let her tell her story and introduce her to the Fair Tax.
Fair Tax Time is brought to you commercial free each Wednesday evening, 6PM Pacific time, 9PM Eastern, courtesy of Sheryl Hyatt, of Chapman Chrysler Jeep in Henderson, NV. Call Sheryl for your automotive needs at (702)771-3033. You may listen on your computer or on your phone. Dial (619) 393-6478 or, if you’re charged for long disance, use our toll-free line: (888) 436-1206. Just follow instructions when the nice British lady answers.

Host Deardra Shuler interviews candidate Robert Jackson who is running for a Senate seat in the 31st district in Manhattan.
Robert Jackson served as a Community School Board President, City Council leader and Education Committee Chair. He has built a record of hard work and integrity and knows how to get things done. He has a record to prove it. Jackson is presently running for State Senate to help provide good schools for children to make certain every child has the same chance to succeed as he had. Jackson continues to fight for workers rights, human rights and to pass the Women's Equality Act, the NY DREAM Act and for an increase in minimum wage. As a marathon runner, Mr. Jackson recently ran a 12.8 mile run for peace.
As a Community School Board President, Robert Jackson filed a lawsuit against the state to fix an inequitable New York State school funding distribution formula that was cheating NYC schools and undermining our children’s future. He walked 150 miles to Albany to highlight the cause and won a court judgment that awarded $16 billion for NYC schools. In 2001, Robert Jackson was elected to the City Council. He was reelected 3 times. He was chosen to Chair the Education Committee and Co-Chair the Black, Latino and Asian Caucus. On the City Council, he effected more than 4,000 new openings for pre-k, fought to prevent thousands of teacher layoffs and helped start the Drop Out Prevention Initiative. He worked to increase jobs by sponsoring legislation to protect small businesses, create a community manpower training program, fought to budget senior centers, libraries and keep fire stations open.
Born and raised in Manhattan, Robert and his family have lived in Washington Heights since 1975. He attended New York City public schools and graduated from State University of New York at New Paltz. He is married and a dedicated father of three daughters.
