  • MYSTERY PERSON CENSORS CANDIDATE STATEMENT

    in News

Carmen – the following changes are requested to your Candidate Statement by County Elections:

    1.  First sentence - "As Mayor of Modesto" is misleading.  Mr. Sabatino needs to state "As former Mayor" or "When I was Mayor" or some variation that does not mislead voters into thinking he is current Mayor.

    2.  7th Sentence "I rejected a $4000 fin offered by a corrupt District Attorney"  the word in red is libelous and cannot be included in the sample ballot pamphlet.

Please bring the updated CD to my office today if possible to send to County Elections.  Thank you.

The Republican Candidate Debate: Is this Conservative Theatre?

    in Culture

A good deal of the commentary about the recent Republican candidate debate was couched in theatrical terms (many not so kind).  It behooves us to look at how we define "theatre" and to apply that definition to what was going on in Cleveland.  I'll also give you an update on the New York New Works Festival, which will feature one of my plays on August 17 in Manhattan. Please feel free to call into the show or to write to me at stagerightaudio1@gmail.com to have your voice heard!
